Glitter explosion

These faux orchids are very pretty, however they come with one fairly major drawback. The glitter.It's simply a law of nature that anything with glitter on it will leave a bit behind wherever it goes, and I'm usually not bothered by a little bit of fallout here and there. These things though, you might as well have sent me a glitter bomb for how much excess was on them, and came off immediately when I took the flowers out. This is all the more startling because the product photos don't actually show that these are meant to have so much glitter. They are mostly made from a metallic material, with the glitter particles only meant to be highlighting on the edges, so I simply was not prepared.As for the orchids themselves, they are truly beautiful. The warm pink and light gold colors blend really well together, creating a lovely rose gold effect. They are made of what feels like a typical faux flower material, however with the metallic coating on the front they are a bit stiffer than normal silk flowers. They have a very detailed veining print on the petals, which gives a lot of depth. I especially appreciate that the front and back of the pedals have different designs. They were very squished in the package, and took a good amount of fussing to look their best.I do recommend these faux orchids, with the caveat that if you order them, you open the box outside to avoid the type of glitter explosion I experienced.

Pink Orchids!!

These arrived packaged perfectly but heads up to open over trash because well …. Glitter!!! 💖I ordered the pink orchids but these remind me more of rose gold, or maybe it’s the gold glitter on the pink blooms that give that illusion. Whatever it is, I love how soft the pink color is but also has the glitter shimmer depending on the lighting.These are also very good quality and easy to bend and shape the way you prefer them! I appreciate this as I hate when arrangements are so stiff or plastic-y that you can’t arrange them to your liking. The stems on these even feel nice!I’m doing a blush pink Christmas theme this year and these were the perfect compliment to my arrangement . Highly recommended!!! These are large and a statement piece for arrangements so be sure to check the stem length and size to make sure these are right for you. The stems are long and worked well in a very tall vase of mine mixed in with other neutral stems and lit branches . Gorgeous!!
