These are perfect for my porch

These look amazing on my Southern Colonial Revival porch! I've gotten plenty of compliments. They take a bit of work to get them to look right and hang straight, but everything is there and in the right proportions. I feel like these are going to last and look great for many seasons, so over time, you get your money's worth - with no added work or maintenance. They stayed together, with the fronds firmly attached to the form inside the coconut shell. They held up through windy days and torrential rain. Very nice!

Natural Looking Set of Large Boston Ferns

I installed two garden trellises over the summer. The plants I had hanging from them were not winter hardy, so when I saw this set of 42 inch artificial ferns, I thought they might be useful in the same space to add color year round. When I first received them, the metal chain links and hooks were tangled together. I’m mentioning this because it took a few minutes to untangle them and get them into position to hang. Although I had to pull one of the fern fronds out of the basket to arrange the hooks, it was easy to anchor it back into the black Styrofoam base. The baskets are made from a type of coco liner supported by the metal chains. The ferns are made of silk, and there are some color variations that help them look more natural and real. One note: You definitely have to work to fan out the fronds. I learned this from arranging other artificial plants in the past. The fronds in this planter are simple to work with. They bend easily and stay in place. Before arranging and hanging them, I could see the black Styrofoam, but the ferns fan out nicely over the base. There is no smell associated with them. They seem to be quite resilient to the sunlight and weather. I think they will relax and fan out even more when the temperature becomes hotter. I intend to use them outdoors year round. They look realistic enough that I could move them from my trellises to any of the hooks in my yard. I measured them, and from the tip of the longest frond on one side to the other, it is 42 inches. All in all, they look natural once they have been arranged.
