Artificial Boston Fern yard filler

Straight out of the box I was really disappointed in the style, quality and look of this fern. It looked small, cheap and it really did not look like it would be realistic at all. However, once I spread out all of the leaves and branches of the fern to its full "bloom", I started changing my mind.The fern leaves up close next to your face are very obviously fake. But they are really well put together and Im hoping will survive the Arizona summers without become brittle and fade (ill have to keep you posted). The leaves are attached to a pretty solid plastic stem and base that very easily fit into and bucket/pot. I used garden string to wrap the base to the base of the flower pot to make sure it didnt blow away. Or you could use the obvious dirt, rocks or foam to keep it in place. I was just being lazy.Once I put them on my porch and took a step back, not only were they full and vibrant but they took up a good chunk of space on my front porch that I was hoping to fill.I wouldnt put this in a close or small space but they are perfect for filler spots in your yard. Plants are expensive and a pain to keep alive, I just have a black thumb I guess.If you could get the 3' pair for under $30 I think you would be getting a fair price.

Very Realistic, But 48" Is a Literal Stretch

This review is for the 2-pack Senjie Artificial Boston Ferns selling for $54.99 at the time of my order. I selected the 48” option, which is the larger of the two sizes.I’ve purchased several artificial plants recently, and most share two common traits: a strong odor when first unboxed and the need for significant reshaping after being tightly packed. These are no exception.My first impression was positive. The fronds have a natural shape and color, with leaves toward the center in a brighter green, cleverly mimicking new growth. They do feel somewhat papery, but with careful handling, they should hold up well. The initial odor was noticeable, but it dissipated after a few days in the garage.Each stem cluster contains about nine fronds, along with realistic-looking fern runners (stolons) like those found on real Boston ferns. Shaping takes patience, but once arranged, they look quite realistic.The one area where I take issue is the stated 48-inch size. The only way to achieve the full 48-inch span is by fully straightening two of the longest fronds in opposite directions. (See photo.) Once shaped naturally with realistic bends, the overall width measured closer to 34 inches. For that reason, and given the $55 price point, I’ve deducted one star.

Finally Found the Perfect Faux Fern -- Exactly What I Was Looking For!

I can’t tell you how long I searched for the right plant to put inside my statue planter. Because I live in a very seasonal climate, real plants just don’t survive well outside year-round, so I knew I needed something artificial. The problem was, most of the ones I found were either super expensive, looked obviously fake, or weren’t full enough to create the look I wanted without buying multiple bunches.Then I found these, and I’m honestly so happy I did.In my photos, I’m only using one of the two ferns included, and look how full it is! The long fronds drape beautifully over my statue exactly the way I imagined. It actually makes him look like he has hair (which makes me smile every time I see it). The greenery looks realistic, has nice movement, and doesn’t have that stiff plastic look that gives fake plants away.Now I’m excitedly trying to figure out where to use the second bunch because I love the first one so much. This was absolutely the look I was hoping for, and it worked out perfectly for my space.

Get Ready To Fluff Your Heart Out!

These ferns came packed well and shipped fast!To my surprise they were alot bigger than expected. Almost the size of my huge storage tote! (see in pics)When I initially opened the packages, it was a bit hard to fluff them out a bit and try to curl/manipulate them to look like real Boston ferns. This took forever so be ready to sit down for a bit to do this! The leaves are super realistic looking and were easy to bend but hard to stay in place where you want them. For that reason I only gave 3 stars. Plus, some of the leaves fell off as the plastic ends of the leaves are barely holding onto the main stem and can easily break off. Wish it was engineered a bit better for the leaf to stem connection. Other than that, they do look pretty once all fluffed up on display. I plan to use these in hanging baskets for outside this summer which I think would look better the way these are made to hang like they do.My one critique on these, is that the leaves just kind of hang down to the sides and there's not really much filler on the top portion of the plant. It can make it look super fake and thinned out, not at all like a Boston fern. Guess you can take some of those leaves that fell off and throw them on top for some filler leaves to see if that helps lolProduct suggestion-add some smaller layers of leaves for the top that we can bend and move around to make this plant look as full as the real ones. Just my opinion though lol

Perfect faux ferns
