Good material, but cant 100% block out the light

I bought this curtain for my baby's room to make it really dark for naps and nighttime sleep. I must admit I didn't measure properly before buying it, and it didn’t fit perfectly, but I installed it anyway. I found the fabric simple, but it seems well-finished and has a nice detail on the corners. However, it doesn’t have a total blackout effect. It helps to darken the room, but combined with just the blind, it didn’t give us the effect we wanted. I also had to buy another curtain (which is also not 100% blackout), so that together they would darken the room.The fact that it's held with Velcro is pretty interesting, especially if you have blinds, because it fits in an area that doesn't damage the wall. I also liked this because it makes it easier to remove and wash whenever needed.
