Good value and lightweight shelves

I have purchased two orders of these, one in black and one in the cappuccino color. These are lightweight, but well-made, with a nice finish. They have a super helpful drill guide, because placing these without one would be nearly impossible. I found the height that I wanted the shelf, and put a thumbtack in the first hole, then found the level for the entire thing, and made pinholes for the rest of the holes, using the guide. Easy.The shelves slide over two metal brackets that are mounted into the wall. If you have studs for one, that’s great, but they include all of the hardware and the drill and anchors, which are my favorite kind. Once you get the hang of how to install these, they are pretty easy to do. It’s a lot easier with a power drill, but you could probably do it with just a screwdriver and a hammer, if you had to.I have already purchased these again, as I said, I purchased them in black and the cappuccino color. They are very functional and a good value for the dollar. I priced floating shelves in a store near me, and they were ridiculously expensive. If you don’t need to have anything that weighs a lot sitting on the shelf, these are a perfect way to display things. I would not put anything on here that weighs a ton, but they work perfectly for what I’m using them for.

Lightweight but strong!

This took awhile to install only because of my faulty measuring! I put the shelves in a recessed doorway that had been drywalled. The shelves fit perfectly, but I was off on the first installation and had to remove the anchors, patch the holes (easy to do), re-center, re-drill, and finally hang!Once I had the correct center point, it took me about 25 minutes to install both shelves. I did go to the hardware store and purchase zinc screw in anchors ($39!!), but was able to install these without stripping the screw holes. I love the simplicity of design and how light weight they are but how sturdy.I found it easiest to put in the end anchors first, and screw the bracket on with just these two brackets, put the shelf on to make sure the posts were aligned with the shelf holes, then take off the shelf, take off the bracket and install the other anchors. A few extra steps, but since my measuring skills are so poor and the holes in the brackets are oval shape, I was afraid that if I did it the way the directions say to do, my shelf wouldn't fit onto the bracket.LOVE the look - they are perfect for my little art gallery!
