GREAT COLORS, tight weave, and fairly thick. This looks wonderful on a wood floor.

The colors are beautiful, just the way they look when you enlarge the detail photo. (The small thumbnail photos just blur together.) There is a LOT of deep pink and red, with small amounts of orange, wine, teal, sky blue, olive, shamrock green, and a few streaks of pastels, woven evenly throughout. It's very satisfying, like looking at a whole box of new crayons!It feels like cotton, and fairly thick. The weak points with these rag rugs (as with braided rugs) are usually the warp threads that hold all the strips of rag together. If there are too few, they tend to snap if you machine-wash them, and sometimes they break under a lot of foot traffic. But they're usually pretty tough. THIS rug has a LOT of warp threads, and the weft-strips of rag fabric are fairly thin, so it feels like a tight weave that can stand up to a lot of use!Now, I know I'm not supposed to wash them. Safavieh is quite clear about that. Rag rugs are unpredictable. Some do start to fall apart in the machine, and some do bleed. But I have allergies, and need to wash them. I've had similar rugs in my kitchen and bathroom for years, and I wash them. I pretreat the kitchen rug by spraying any spots with dish detergent and Oxyclean. I balance three rugs together in my wonky, 20 year-old washing machine, with dish towels to even the load, and I use cold water, on a gentle cycle. I spin them twice to get out as much water as I can, and lay them on a rack to dry. I do a dark load afterwards, in case some dye is still lingering in the machine. Some rugs have faded, and some started to unravel, but they got nice and soft, and I just tied up the loose threads.I really like this rug alot. I'll wait awhile before I wash it (gentle cycle!) and will post what happens when I do.This looks wonderful on a wood floor. I'll post some photos when I get more light.

I love these rugs!

Inexpensive, durable, washable. Do I need 3? IDK maybe but I like to have a few extra sometimes! I just wish they didn't have a giant sticker with such strong adhesive. It pulls the rug apart when you remove it and there's no way I'm going to wash it with that sticker on. That's not going to stop me from buying more though. They're soft, but not too soft, and about 1/4 of an inch thick. The size is not precise, but then again, if you're getting one of these style of rugs then precision shouldn't be what you are looking for. These three are about 2 ft by 3 ft.
