This rug is more beautiful in person. In does shed a little but we have a dog that sheds alot so this is nothing to me. I will definately not use a vacuum brush aa i can tell it will pull up fibers. Beautiful and soft. I did put a felt rug pad underneath. Thrilled with the purchase.
Heavy jute 9x12 rug I have used in my living room, looks wonderful with my white Pottery Barn furniture. It's not fluffy bathmat soft, but it is not uncomfortable underfoot for my always barefoot feet. Easy to clean with my vacuum, beater bar OFF. I do plan to rescue a cat, may be a scratch hazard then- I'll try to supply lots of alternatives to my beautiful jute rug. I would recommend, a 10.
I absolutely loved the look of this rug the minute I rolled it onto my floor. It looks and feels like a soft, chunky, plush, woolen sweater. It does have quite a few flaws where the weave is off, is not uniform, or little bare spots. It sheds heavily, especially at first, and the packing instructions said to vacuum daily for the first few weeks. Unfortunately, with each vacuuming more and more pieces of the rug came apart. See photo #1 where part of the “braid” sticks up in the air after vacuuming.
I’ve had this rug for 5 months and it continues to shed like crazy! It sheds more than my dog. It stops up the vacuum cleaners and gets on everything. I finally had to just throw it out.
This rug look even more beautiful in person and is a steal for the price. Highly recommend.
Looks and feels great, dog and baby both approve. However it has been shedding a lot, which that might get better with time but we definitely vacuumed up a medium-sized dog’s worth of fuzz. We’ve also noticed a few loops are not secure, unsure how that will age over time.
I LOVED the design and feel of this rug and I was super sad to have to return it but I had to. It is NOT suitable for a high traffic area or even moderate traffic. It shed so much, there were hairballs all over the house, and after just a couple of weeks the rug looked raggedy. I really wish it would have worked out because I loved everything else about it, but it is just not functional.
