Newer Update: I have had the 11 foot round area rug for 6 months now, and I still love it. It feels so nice underfoot. The colors are still rich. Beautiful, but smells

We bought this runner for my husband's bedroo. He he has a standing desk in his room, so he wanted something fluffy to stand on. The quality is excellent, however I will warn you that there is a pungent off-gassing smell that lasts a few days. They also treat the fabric fibers with some sort of preservative or fire retardant that we didn't like the texture of so we had to do some hand washing with a very wet towel to get some of the stiffness out of the fibers. I'm pretty sure that washing it down with a wet towel also helped remove some of the chemical odor smell. Otherwise, it looks beautiful in our home and we love it now that it is broken in. It is very thick, sturdy, high quality, and tough. It doesn't feel cheap or fragile or thin whatsoever. The fibers are high quality. I will mention however, it might not be obvious in the photos, but this Runner carpet comes with different lengths of fibers to create that pattern in the pictures. If you want something that is all one length, do not buy this. We didn't know this at first but we have gotten used to it and enjoy the unique texture.

I loved this color and look so much I got two! One for our bedroom and one for the living room. The shag is super soft. And I've always had great luck with Safavieh.
