Great Rug at a Great Price

This area rug is so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The material and color combination was exactly what I was looking for. It arrived quickly and very well packaged. It unrolled easily and laid flat immediately. It's nice and soft and perfect for the price. I can't speak to dirt retention or durability since I just got it, but my experiences with jute rugs has been positive. Safavieh is so well-known for their rugs I have no doubt this rug will last a long time. I laid it over carpeting and there's no issue with slippling. A great rug for a great price.

LOVE This Rug!

Love, love, love this rug. I have it in three sizes - 8x10, 5x7, and a runner. It is beautiful, super comfy to walk on, and has a mix of different blues from light to dark in addition to the jute. I have it in a house on a lake on a medium/dark wood floor in a room with gray walls, white trim, light grey and light camel toned furniture, and navy accents. The rugs pull everything together perfectly and also keep the house feeling attractive but casual, which is exactly what I wanted. The runner in the front hall and my exterior door clears it with no trouble. Well-packaged, no odor upon arrival. Quality is MUCH better than I expected for the price. I get tons of compliments on the rugs.Only negatives are: (1) The large rug (8x10) arrived stretched out in the middle. This made the middle parts of the two short ends longer than the corners, and made the rug bunchy in the middle. Could have returned it, but my coffee table covers it so I didn't bother. It helped to pull on the long edges to get them to relax more, but it didn't solve the issue fully. No issues with the two smaller rugs. Also, (2), after handling one of the rugs (the 5x7) my hands had quite a bit of blue dye on them. I was worried about dye transfer to the floor or to my light colored furniture (if people sat on the floor and then the furniture, which has happened quite a bit) but have had no issues whatsoever. Neither of these issues detracted to the extent that they would compromise how pleased I am with the rugs.

stays flat, nice neutral color

This is made of recycled denim jeans in all shades of blue/light blue/grayish blue/almost black, and goes well with my off-blue-green main rug. The many shades, simple pattern and floor-matching jute mean it doesn't compete for attention. The 4x4 ft size goes well between the garage door and the fireplace brick, and it stays really flat for the door to open over the top of it. Big enough to remove boots before continuing into the house.

Uncertain of the Durability

If I were rating on looks alone, I would rate this rug high. It compliments the casual, coastal theme of my kitchen well. But I am concerned it will not be durable and value for my $$. Within an hour of unpacking, a strip of denim had already unraveled and was sticking up. I had a sisal rug there previously, so I understand that occurs occasionally. But the first hour and not even in a high traffic area?? That was disappointing.
