This rug exceeded my expectations in quality and price.I got the blue/gold and absolutely love the color. Reminds me of a Monet painting.Perfect thickness as well and has just enough cushion.I wish the green/gold was in stock because I would buy that for another room.The only negative was that it had a musty smell, so hoping airing it will help.
The Safavieh Aspen Collection Blue/Rust is a nice rug that was delivered today and rolled out flat. I like the pattern and this type of wool rug. I bought the 7' runner which coordinates well with some striped rugs I recently purchased on Amazon - Safavieh Montauk Collection - cotton flat weave. This rug is thick and comfortable. I put a rubber/felt pad under it to keep it from sliding.. The photos show lint collected from the 4th and 5th vacuuming. It sheds a lot. Hopefully the shedding will lessen in time. Also, not counting the tassels it is an inch short of 7' - the tassels add 4" to each end. I'm not really in favor of tassels so I looked to see if they could be removed and it appears that would not be attractive, leaving raw spots on the edges.
Great quality and perfect color combination, looks great and ease of cleaning is simple. Value for quality is 5 star Durable in wet and dry weather as it is in our entry.
Love, love the quality of this rug. It is absolutely gorgeous, soft, and I love the little tassels at each end. Great BUY!! matter of fact, I’m gonna see if they have a round rug for my upstairs guestroom.
We have several similar safavieh wool rugs and this one is also beautiful and high quality. The braided tassels are a nice touch and lay really well.The one problem is that the primary color is tricky - we ordered two Olive and Rust, from different sellers, and both are labeled as Olive and Rust, but depending on the light, they sometimes look olive and other times definitively look slate blue. In natural light, they look more olive, but with our soft white LEDs they look just slate blue, which really isn't the color we were wanting.Since they are the only rugs we've found that we like and that have olive as the primary motif color, and since they're an accent for our cream room, we kept them, but if you're trying to match a room or sofa that is already olive color, be prepared to check the rug against your existing color in various lighting before you go the trouble to roll it out completely.
I needed a 100% wool rug to go in front of my fireplace. This covers the area perfectly and was a better price than smaller rugs advertised as “hearth rugs”. It is a nice thickness and I’m pleased with the color and pattern and it feels nice underfoot. No smell and it flattened out within the first day
I am so impressed with the quality. The rug is thick and was packed so securely it could withstand the apocalypse. When the light is on it you can see the striations, which I am not used to yet. But one of the reviews was correct, it is like a Monet painting. Color accurate from the pictures on line. Lots of blue.
