These curtains block light well and add a cozy look to the room. The fabric feels heavy and durable, and they hang nicely right out of the package. Great for small windows or cabinets that need extra privacy.
These blackout curtains are great. I actually bought them for the purpose of making a table skirt because it is more cost effective. They work really well and gave the effect I needed of not being able to see items under the table. The material is nice and easy to work with as I had to shorten them a little. I would highly recommend these curtains as they are durable to be used as curtains or cover-ups as a table skirt
Creases : These curtains came very well packaged, in so that I did not need to steam or remove any creases. I hate a horizontal crease line in my curtains. These hung up just great right out of the package.Material : The material feels like a heavy suede. Very nice and thick. Above what I expected. Very pleased. These curtains don't have the separate space on top for that ruffled look. But I don't mind, for what I got. You could stitch across the top to get that effect easily, as there is tons of room for the rod. The material facing outside is just as nice as facing inside, so you don't have that ugly white plastic/vinyl garbage facing out, that is common with many black out curtains. If the curtains you order here are gray on the inside they will be gray on the outside, very nice.Color : The color was spot on. And I bought 4 pair when on sale and they all matched color perfect.Light Blocking : They block 98% of the direct sunlight hitting them from outside. There is just an ever so slight glow to them in direct sunny light. Which is fine.Quality : Far above average for the price. Stitched well.Price : Excellent, I paid $14 a pair for the 45"x52" on sale for the first two pair and $18 for the third and forth pair. Purchased all at the same time.Purchase Again? : I will only buy curtains from this company as long as this quality remains their norm.Flammability : UnknownCancer Causing Leaching or Gassing : Unknown. Did come from China, with low regulations, so the chances are reasonably high that they do gas out something bad. If you have pregnant woman or baby don't buy any new textile goods (fabrics) or plastics.I would give 5 stars if I knew the product was safe as it relates to the material catching fire or gassing out toxins. I only gave 4 stars because of poor regulations, protections for us and our loved ones. But I must also say that every set of curtains you might order carry these same risks, due to deregulation. But hey, they saved us consumers a friggin nickel so sacrificing our health and safety is totally worth it... That's sarcasm by the way.I didn't get anything for writing this review. Not squat. I’ve had these for a couple of years now. I have 3 sets in my bdrm and 2 sets in my l/r in color Dusty Rose. While I don’t know how they wash/dry, they’ve been a great addition. They’re definitely blackout in Dusty Rose. They’re a soft material, heavy, and don’t feel cheap. 10/10. Highly recommend.
These are the real “blackout curtains”. Living in Florida, even with hurricane high impact windows, it is almost impossible to keep heat out from the windows. I purchased these in different colors and in different sizes and they do the job perfectly for all rooms.I did a little research project and these curtains kept 5 bedrooms all around the same room size about 3/4 degrees cooler than standard “heavy curtains”. Room sizeEven in larger room sizes throughout our home these curtains provide compete privacy and comfort. They are easy to clean, just throw them in the washing machine (front loader) and dryer and they come out looking brand new with absolutely no wrinkles.
These curtains are pretty basic curtains. The peacock blue color is great, but they are definitely not blackout curtains. We got this to control the light in our western facing bedroom for our infant daughter’s naps and bedtime during the summer sun. They do block out some light, but nothing close to blackout. I know the product description says that darker colors will work better, and I can’t speak to that, but I’ve had lighter colored blackout curtains before and they contained a dark backing that made them truly blackout. These curtains are very thin and just one sided and do not have a darker backing, so they really are ineffective if you need true blackout, or at least the 85-95% the description claims. For our family, this fortunately doesn’t cause an issue for us with our daughter’s sleep needs, but I know that may not be the case for others. So if you need blackout curtains, I wouldn’t recommend these, at least not in the lighter colors, and would recommend getting ones with a darker backing layer. I also have not seen any improvement with the sun heating the room up, so I really doubt that they fulfill the other claims the description makes, because again, it’s just a single layer of fairly thin fabric. For the price, I guess they are good enough, just want others to know that they don’t live up to the claims in the description.
