Material is very thick to the point there was barely any wrinkling out of the package. Not sound proof but definitely diminishes sound coming from the street. Blocks out alot of the heat from the sun, hopefully it will help insulate when it's winter.These curtains will turn day into night in your room. Excellent quality, this is the 3rd "blackout" curtain i tested and these are the real deal.

Ok, it blocks like 7-10% noise. They are not so heavy, seems nice quality. No "chinesse smell". Blocks 100% light. Would say, that I am happy with the purchase, but was expecting more robust curtains, as I bought 4 layers ones.Overall opinion:If you live closer to the road, it will help 10%If you need to block the sun 100% helpThey look 100% good qualityThey hold alot of heat inside.
Big difference in privacy and noise. We were not ready to install proper doors. This was a quick solution. The curtain is well made.
Great for blocking light and elements, but I bought these specifically for road noise and sadly it only reduced road noise by maybe 20-30% max. If you live near a freeway like I do, you'll need to find better curtains or replace your windows. Sucks cuz these are already expensive in my opinion and still not cutting the sound issue.Definitely heavy curtains and great if you're looking for light and element blocking.

I wasn't looking to spend a ton of money on curtains, but found these 4 layer curtains that really decrease the amount of heat/sunlight coming into 3 very large windows on my house. I wouldn't say they are "noise cancelling." It's a curtain, it's not going to sound proof anything. But, as a sound deadener, it definitely helps to absorb echo and reverberation in the house. I'll be adding these to an open wall in my theater room for that purpose. Couldn't be happier with this find!
