Function as expected, this grips really well on my wooden floors. However, due to the size it was cut to use for the kitchen cabinets. The size was exactly as stated, this is great for runner rugs, it’s a long rectangular shape. There’s little to no cushioning, this is just a small thin sheet of plastic for grip. Very light product, I think it feels like around 1-2 pounds, not heavy at all.
Needed to secure a runner in my hallway that was like stepping on a skateboard. Now its held in place without any concerns. If you have a few rugs to secure, you can get the longest version and trim it down to length you need and get more than one out of it. Works great.
The area rug in my office slid around all the time so I ordered this rug pad to put under it to keep it from moving. When I first opened it, it had a lot of creases and a bit of an odor so I hung it over my banister for a few hours to air it out and let the wrinkles fall out of it. It was a little bigger than I wanted so I had to cut it to size, which was really easy to do with a standard pair of scissors. Cutting a straight line is pretty easy as you just follow the rows of holes. After that I just laid this out on the floor and unrolled my area rug over it, all very simple.So far it seems to do a really good job of keeping the area rug from moving, and it provides just a little bit of padding so it's a bit softer / quieter to walk across the rug than it was before. That said, they describe it as thick, which may be fair compared to other similar pads, but it's probably less than 1/8" thick so I wouldn't call it that.So far I do really like it, and recommend it for keeping area rugs from moving around.
I purchased a washable rug so it’s thin. I got this to add a bit of cushion since it’s on hardwood but I can’t even tell it’s there.It did smell terrible when I got it but a few hours outside took care of that. However, what I got is so thin it does not add ANY cushion to the rug. Trying to decide if I’m going to keep it.
I bought a fairly expensive rug that came with its own non-slip pad, but unfortunately it did not prevent the rug from moving on a tiled floor as claimed. I've used this style of rug gripper before, just a simple rubbery textured pad that does its job well and doesn't add any bulk or otherwise interfere with the rug. I dislike using the adhesive style of rug grippers (I'm afraid it will affect the hardwood floor stain) plus once they've been repositioned once or twice they loose their stick and have to be cleaned to restore their grip. This nice thin pad does exactly what it's supposed to do at a fair price.
This has really helped my rug from moving around. It's really good quality and adds some cushion to my rug
I’m using this under a very thin 2x3 rug that was sliding around wildly. I had mixed results.On the positive side, the pad made a definite difference in the feel of the rug. The rug is very thin, and even though this pad is also very thin, it made much more of a difference than I expected in how the rug feels. It now has a softer, more inviting feel. It’s in an area where I’m often in bare feet, so I appreciate that.However it did not hold the rug in place. It didn’t slide quite as much as before the pad, but it still slid far too much. After nearly three weeks of this, I resorted to rubber cement, cementing the pad to the bottom of the rug. This seems to be working. It’s not an ideal solution. If we ever have to wash the rug, we’ll have to remove the pad and then apply rubber cement again after it dries, but that’s a small price to pay for a rug that now feels softer on bare feet and no longer slides.
