This is the thickest rug! It is way heftier than I expected and it feels great under your feet. I don't really care for the design, it's not all that interesting and looks a bit more modern than I would have liked. I gotten the lighter colored one and probably should have gone with the brown, it might not be quite so hypnotizing as the light one with continuous checkerboard. I do really like having a rug this size though and can endure it for a while. We have a concrete floor and this rug really makes the floor seem not so hard on your feet or cold. It's thicker than my other washable rugs and I really do like it for the colder nights.I have not tried washing it yet but ordered it due to that particular feature. I have two other rugs of the same size and it's very nice to be able to pull up the old and put down the clean one while laundering the old one. If I ordered again I would go with the brown, which looks more like a tan color. Very nice quality and comfortable, too!

Beautiful, Soft Rug

Very comfortable rug, looks and feels great. Modern neutral color design goes with just about anything. Super soft medium pile polyester. Resists stains, but does need occasional cleaning. Claims to be machine washable, but this rug is much thicker than the typical paper-thin machine washable rugs. If you have a large enough washer, it may work fine, but probably depends on which size rug you get. I'll probably stick to spot cleaning when needed.Thick stitching around the edge. Lays completely flat within a day after unrolling. The back side has some rubberized grip material, but it's not enough for a secure hold on hard floors unless there is minimal foot traffic. A good rug pad is recommended, helps keep it in place and adds some additional padding for comfort.Worth the modest price, this is a quality rug that should last a long time.

Surprisingly soft, washable casual area rug

I've had other washable low-pile rugs and my favorite thing about this one is how soft and pleasant it is to walk on in bare feet or with socks. Unlike industrial office carpet this provides a pleasant base to sprawl out with a board game or other floor activities. From the pictures I imagined it would be textured like a runner or welcome mat but the surface is smooth and the pattern is just coloration so it won't stamp a texture into your skin if you sit or lay on it for a period of time. The rug is delivered folded up and the instructions indicate it will take a while for the folds to flatten out over time. The train-track pattern is bold but also neutral enough to work with most existing decor and color schemes. The cats also love it!

In person, the pattern is clearly printed on, but looks much better in the black version than the lighter shades.
