Rugshop Black and White Geometric Area Rug – Abstract (Rectangular)

Interesting pattern.It gives a depiction of missing or bare spots from a distance.Close up you can see it doesn't have bare spots - that's just the pattern/design of it - in my image with the yellow arrows - those spots to me - from a distance look like the carpet has bare / bald spots.If you get close up enough - as I did in another image - you can see the carpet, like most carpets, holds onto dog hairs as if they are gifts from angels... (Ok so they might just be -our Husky is shedding) and the carpet requires daily vacuuming to keep it clean.From a slight distance the dog hair isn't nearly as noticeable which is deceptive and can make you feel like the carpet doesn't need a vacuum - it does.The third image I added shows the back side - which is your typical - dried glue looking - carpet back and seems to be securing the carpet as much as is needed.The hem line along all four sides is well sewn and clean looking - nothing uneven or broken.The pattern reminds me of the movie trailer from Tron - yep I'm that many years - but I've only seen the trailer, never did see the movie.The dark color is a great contrast for our light colored flooring and makes a bold accent in our den.I found this area rug to be a little pricey but then again everything is over priced these days.The rug arrived with a slight odor - the way new carpets tend to but nothing overpowering and it disappeared quickly - within the first day.I've had the rug down for about a month now and there is still about an inch of one corner that refuses to lay flat - frustrating.Overall a decent area rug with an interesting pattern that catches your eye when you first walk into the room.

good but be careful

So the carpet itself is great, it picks up dirt easily and does what it’s supposed to do. The quality is solid. It feels thick, has a nice weight to it, and doesn’t slide around once it’s in place. The size also matched the product description exactly.However, after some time, I started to notice that all four corners began to curl upward. This has become a safety issue. I’ve almost tripped over it more than once, which is pretty concerning. I’ve tried flattening the corners out, but they keep curling back up. If it gets any worse, I may have to put it away entirely, which is unfortunate because otherwise the rug performs well.So while it looks good and functions as expected in terms of cleaning and staying in place, the corner arching is a major drawback. For that reason, I’m giving it 3 stars. If the corners had stayed flat, this easily would’ve been a 5-star product.
