I bought this as a kitchen runner considering color and pattern that could disguise small food stains. It took a couple weeks to flatten out. The fringe edges are simply folded over to the back and glued down, but at this price point I can't complain. To get the perfect size, I ended up cutting off more than a foot of rug with a sharp pair of scissors and re-attached the fringe with my sewing machine. It came out fine but my machine hopes I never do that again.
