This runner, intended for pet traffic, is more than what was expected. Lint and debris easily vacuums off, cat scratches invisible, it catches dog water drippings that were keeping the area wet and slippery, and it stays in place. We love it!
This is a high quality, robust rug. It has stood up well to a dog who loves to do hallway zoomies. It has retained its color over multiple washes, and has a nice feel underfoot. It is soft but also stain resistant!
At first, I was a little disappointed with the red 2' x 6' runner I ordered from GLIWEN. Once it arrived and I got a good look at it, I thought the raised pile bars and bare mat between them looked a little too commercial/industrial for use in the home. However, we needed it to cover a section of hardwood flooring so our senior dog could still make his way from room to room without slipping, so I went ahead and put it down. We've gone through many runners over the past year or two, and this one stands out for having a non-slip bottom that actually doesn't slip. It also stays flat on the floor making it easy to vacuum. I think it's best suited for a mud room, laundry area, covered porch, or entryway, and I now wouldn't hesitate to order it again.
We removed all carpeting from our home a few years ago and replaced it with wood flooring. The floors are accented with runners and place mats. My pet peeve had always been that so many of these rugs that would look nice in my home have no backing. As such, they slip around easily, creating a potentially dangerous fall episode.The GLIWEN rug seemed to be worth a try in as much it had rubberized backing and appeared attractive. It turned out to be everything hoped for.The six foot runner works well in our long hallway. It has a nice low profile making it easy to vacuum, even with our cranky Roomba. It has a stylish textured pattern. Its grey neutral color doesn't shout "Look at me", making it a useful accessory to our hallway. And as previously stated, it has a fully rubberized underside so the rug won’t slip at all.Very happy with this rug. Highly recommend.
I have three large dogs that love running around the house, but what drives me nuts is the rugs getting bunched up! This runner stays in place and we have it in the hallway by the back door (that has a large doggy door) and the dogs are constantly running in and out of the door.Now that it's fall, it is insanely wet. So muddy paws coming through that door, the rug still stays in place and definitely improves the amount of mud tracked in by our furry family members. I am seriously impressed with this rug. I have yet to wash it (as we just got it 3 days ago), but I hope it is easy to wash and stays intact without any of the backing coming off. Will update review after washing, but as of right now I love this rug and plan to purchase another.
This is a solid option for a basic thin rug. As advertised, it’s definitely on the thinner side, so don’t expect any cushioning. The design has a somewhat corporate look to it, which might not fit every home aesthetic, but I actually like it for my kitchen area because it’s functional and low maintenance.The rubberized backing is a nice touch, keeping it slip resistant, and the top material feels durable and easy to clean. One thing to note is that it took a week or two to fully flatten out after unrolling, but once it did, it laid nice and flat with no issues.I’d recommend it for areas where style isn’t the top priority but functionality is.
This runner rug has a great tread pattern that is perfect for catching dirt and pine needles. I was a little surprised by how lightweight and thin this was. The pile on the carpet is stiff enough to pull the pine needles but soft enough to walk on barefoot.When I first unrolled this it turned up a bit at the end. I just tucked that end under another rug and it should lay flat after about a week.I find the price of this a bit high for the thin quality of the materials. Other runners I've bought of this quality were less expensive.If your goal is to catch dirt in an entry way you won't be disappointed by this rug.
