So far, great tape! Used it to stick down some bathroom rugs in front of the sink and toilet, and they have held nicely! No problems so far! The tape is very transparent, so once you stick it down, pay attention to where you stuck it. If your floor is shiny at all, it can be pretty hard to see the tape. But it was easy enough to get down and get the other side peeled off.

Best used for rugs that aren't washed frequently

This double-sided tape works pretty well in retaining some lightweight rugs that my wife had gotten a couple of months ago. Those started curling a little bit at the corners and were always scooting on the floor in her kitchen. Part of that issue may be that her feet aren't always picked completely up when she moves around anymore so that tends to drag the little rugs.I found it easiest to place these smaller rugs by first applying the adhesive tape to the corner areas. I realize that is different than the illustrations show but with small rugs it just made sense. I was then able to pull them out so when the adhesive bonded to the floor that they were snug and tensioned.This tape is quite thin and the adhesive on the carpet side could be thicker. I believe that would help in the consistency of the adhesive bond. The floor side surface of the tape does release quite cleanly from the floor (ours is a laminate surface) but after about 3 days or 72 hours it tends to be bonded enough that it wants to leave some minor residue behind. From my experience with adhesives I don't know how you can really avoid that because you need the strength to retain the carpet, but inherent weakness on the floor side to allow it to be removed.We will work with it as it is.I used this on small kitchen rugs which do tend to be washed fairly regularly and that becomes a difficult issue because you cannot wash this tape and have it reapply or reattach correctly.It is necessary to apply new pieces of tape each time you put them down and that does become expensive over time. However the safety Factor outweighs the cost at this time.
