The only down side is that it comes all folded up, so you have to lay it out and kind of wait for the creases to go away. Other than that, this is great! The sizing / dimensions are perfect for a 4x6 ft rug and it really is slip resistant. I have it under a back door rug that my dog runs across all the time and it doesn't slide -- makes me feel better knowing he's safe.
We used this rug pad in our dining room to help protect the hardwood floors from spills and the occasional pet accident. It does a good job creating a barrier between the rug and the floor, which gives some peace of mind in a high traffic area.The pad is very thick and heavy though. That’s not a bad thing, but it definitely makes setup more of a two person job. Laying it out straight on your own would be tough, especially at this size (9x12). Once it’s in place, it stays put and doesn’t slide around.One thing to note is that it takes some time for the bends from the packaging to relax. It comes folded up instead of rolled, which was a little odd to me. The floor feels a little bumpy at first but it gradually flattens out after being down for a while.It feels durable and protective, just be prepared for a bit of patience during setup before everything settles and smooths out! And check your sizes before you order!
Pad was a little thinner than expected, but still what I needed
This 10 ft by 14 ft rug pad immediately stands out for one simple reason: it’s heavy — and in this case, that’s a very good thing. The sheer weight of it on its own signals real quality and clearly separates it from the flimsy, lightweight rug pads that barely do anything once they’re under a rug.The padding itself is thick and well-constructed, adding noticeable loft and cushioning underfoot. If you’ve ever felt like a rug looked good but felt a little flat or underwhelming, this pad fixes that problem.Another standout feature is the protective backing designed for hardwood floors. That added layer provides peace of mind, especially in homes with pets or puppies, helping protect flooring from moisture, accidents, and everyday wear while still keeping everything in place.Once laid down, it stays put and does exactly what a high-quality rug pad should do: adds comfort, stability, and protection without shifting or compressing down to nothing over time.Overall, this is a serious, high-quality rug pad. It does all that it claims and improved to quality of my area rug. Seems as if it will also make the rug last longer. It's soft and the size is as described. I did need to trim one corner which cut easily with utility scissors.
This review is for Rug Pad Waterproof Non-Slip 5x7 ft, 1/8" Thick Felt Cushion Pad for Area Rug. I’ve been using it for a few days now and and I’m very happy with the thickness and the quality in general. The rubber backing is also nice and thick and adheres well to the floor. Having said that, in my opinion, for a pad that measures 5 x 7, this item is a bit overpriced. Even with the good quality and utility, I would expect the price range to be more in the $25-30 range but price is subjective to the buyer so that is just my opinion based according to my own budget and my own expectations. Regardless, I do recommend this very nice pad; it does well and keeps everything smooth and flat and provides stability, and it has a nice cushioning effect. We cut it to fit and it was very easy to do. I also like the fact that it adds water protection as well, particularly considering we have pets in the home.
The felt top non-slip rug pad weighs 4 pounds and 10.9 ounces. It has a white triangular textured grip backing. The dense felt side is graphite grey in color. The pad is 59.84375 x 83.5 x 0.81 inches. The pad was simple to install under the rug. I unfolded the pad on top of the rug first, then rolled it over and put it aside. I rolled up the rug that has a grip backing. I got the pad and unrolled it and situated it in front of the couch. I put the rug on top of the mat and unrolled the rug and situated it. over the pad with a quick corner lift and tug. I put it under a lower pile rug in the kitchen that is on a tiled floor. The mat provided grip as well as padding. The rug felt like fluff under my feet after I had the pad underneath. It was more comfortable to step on and take a nap on, which is cost effective. The pad does come folded, therefore the edges of the rug are a bit raised after installing. I am expecting the rug to flatten down. The pad is directly under the mat to the edge. I may end up cutting the pad down an inch or so on each side if there are any issues of transitioning from the rug to the tile.
