This rug is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
I'm not a type to review things on pretty much anything. But this rug had made such a good impression that I had to review it. Especially for a product that currently has 0 reviews (why????).First things first, I was on a hunt to find the perfect rug for my living room. I have spent way too much time and money on rugs that I ended up returning in the next day or 2 (unfortunately) or they are in my basement, rolled up because they are not what I thought I ordered but am unable to return. Oh well. Over 10 months of searching and flipping all the online stores upside down (especially Amazon), and actual physical stores. I saw this rug on a Thursday and was thinking to myself that I shouldn't risk it again because I have been disappointed every single time in the last 10 months. These are the things that I ABSOLUTELY needed for me to even consider buying a rug:1. Machine washableAn absolute MUST! I have 2 dogs. One is 50ish pounds and is black and brindle colored and the other is 75 pounds and if fawn colored. I like to keep my home clean and free of dog smell so it was an absolute must for a rug to be able to be machine washable.I just received this rug yesterday and I have not had a chance to wash it yet. Waiting for it to gear a little bit of a wear before washing it. Will probably do it in a week or 2 just to see where we're at with the washing aspect of it. My dogs love to play on rugs and slobber each other while playing (gross, I know haha) so it will probably end up in the washer tomorrow haha.2. Lighter ColorOh. My. God.Soooooooooooo many rugs have I bought where the website photos and/or description of the rug would say that the rug is Beige or Ivory or Cream (which is what I was aiming for when it comes to color). I have ordered at least 4 with that description and ALL OF THEM came out grayish. Nothing against the gray color, but my couch is light gray and it just clashed too much. If it had just a little bit of grayness in it, it would be okay but the whole rug?????? Nope. I attached a photo of my Light Gray couch and the rug for color comparison. This rug? I was genuinely surprised to see that the color ACTUALLY matched to what was displayed on the photos and the description. It fits PEEEEEEEEERFECT with my décor style and I can not tell you how happy I was when I saw the color once I unrolled the rug. Finally. FIIINALLYYYYYYYYY.3. No pile or very short pileAgain, dogs being the reason. They are short haired and their hair sticks to everything like superglue. It's a lot easier to vacuum when there's no pile or if there is, it's very short pile. This rug says it's medium pile and I would agree. I took a risk because it was a decent price and I got (i think) about 20% - 25% off. What the heck. Why not. So I purchased it. And don't get me started on when I saw that there are these "ridges" on the rug photos. I was thinking to myself (omg that's going to be a nightmare to vacuum - dog hair will get stuck in the crevices and you're going to be disappointed again because it's going to end up nasty with all the dog hair). Boy oh boy was I wrong. The so called crevices? All they are is just a few millimeters longer pile (see photos with the quarter in it). It's not like those cotton rugs that you see that are rolled together in a spiral. It's SO EASY to vacuum the dog hair off of it. I have 2 vacuum cleaners. One an off-brand, cheap version of a Dyson cordless stick vacuum (impulse purchase.. I need a new one, haha) and a one of those Shark Duo Apex vacuums where I feel like they will suck out your soul if you accidentally put the vacuum hose close to your body. Super strong suction but a much needed item for someone who likes to keep their house clean and free of dog smell. Both of those vacuums worked. The off-brand one has veeeery bad suction, but I went with it first because I like to start off slow. OMG the dog hair was coming off so easy. Once I got the big boy vacuum out - if you could imagine my grin right now and how happy I was.. yeap that about sums it all up. Haha. No problems with it being sucked into the vacuum cleaner like the no-pile, paper rugs.4. Large Area RugIt's not easy to find all of those requirements + a decently priced large area rug. I was actually aiming for a 9' x 8' - 9' sized rug but that's almost impossible to find with all the other requirements. This rug is a little small and I originally wanted another rug from this seller (https://www.amazon.com/Revival-Rugs-Washable-Polyester-Certified/dp/B0B7K4DHC6 - this one in the color Beige) but they didn't have it in the size I wanted. So the rug the I purchased was the next best thing. I knew going in that the rug will be a tad too small, but hey. I was desperate and my dogs needed a rug to play on. No regrets. This rug is actually half an inch shorter than 6'. Nothing wrong with that. As well all know, the standard rug sizes are a close estimate of what the actual rug size is. Glad it was only half an inch, though. :D____Please keep in mind that I like to take care of my purchases. I clean, wash and vacuum regularly and I put a rug pad underneath all my rugs. My dogs are hyper and they go crazy when playing/running around the house. In order to try and prevent a rug slip, I use both a rug pad and the double-sided rug tape. I have no issues with it so far whatsoever. This rug arrived within 2 days, Couldn't be happier. But yeah, to sum it all up: 10/10 Would Recommend. Great buy and will definitely be on the lookout for more rugs of this same brand. Whoever came up with this rug style... THANK YOU!P.S. Revival, if you ever get any of you Beige colored rugs in a bigger size, let me know! :D
