Nice as display shelves
These floating book shelves are perfect as display shelves. They are easy to assemble and install. If installed correctly, they are very sturdy. Presentation wise, they look sleek.I wouldn’t say these should be used for storage in traditional sense. To get the invisible look, you’ll want be intentional with size and type of books you’re putting on them. To me, smaller paperbacks (especially books with a bit of wear) were a bit too wonky and didn’t give the invisible floating vibe. The best that I found for size and fit were medium-size, hardcover books and thicker, like new paperback books. I ended up using them to display two of my favorite series. I don’t think I’d recommend these for books you’re going to be pulling from often.So, depending on your expectations, these could be a great fit!

A few issues...
Well for starters, we ordered white shelves and received black ones, so that was the first negative. I mean, I can still use them though, but just wasn't what I ordered. As other reviewers also mentioned, they do seem a bit on the smaller side. However, they are sturdy and easy enough to install. They add a cool, modern look to the office.

These floating book shelves are best suited for display, not everyday storage, and once you approach them that way, they work really well.The shelves themselves are solid metal and heavier than they look. Installation was straightforward with the included hardware, and once mounted they feel secure on the wall. They hold medium-sized hardcover books without any issue and create a clean “floating” effect where the shelves visually disappear behind the books.That said, the usable surface area on each tier is fairly small. Oversized books, large art books, or mixed book sizes don’t work well here and can break the floating illusion. These also aren’t ideal for books you plan to grab frequently, since restacking is part of the deal.Where these shine is as decorative shelving. They’re great for showcasing a favorite series, attractive hardcovers, or a curated stack in a bedroom, office, or small space where floor shelving isn’t practical.Overall, sturdy and well-made, but very much a design-forward display shelf, not a general storage solution. If your expectations match that, they’re a solid choice.
