60 x 42 inch "blackout" curtains Biscotti Beige

I purchased these curtains in Biscotti Beige. For me these were a beautiful Earth Tone color, so was quite pleased when I opened the packaging. The fabric looks and feels high quality. I was looking for curtains for privacy, and to reduce the afternoon sun. These were perfect . . you cannot see through them at all, and they block a fair amount of sunlight.These are called or marketed as Black Out Curtains. I do not know the actual definition of what BLACKOUT means in the curtain world . . but these are not blackout if you take it literally. but just guessing . . I would estimate that these block about 80 % of the light. Fortunately, that is exactly what I was hoping for.So, great curtains that are available in short and longer lengths. The price seemed very reasonable to me, and the delivery was next day to my residence in Southern California.Anyway, the 60 inch length was just right for my purpose.I was covering an 8 foot wide window (96 inches). I bought 2) two packs of 42 inch curtains, which totaled to 168 inches (14 feet). That turned out to be 1 3/4 times the window's width . . and that worked out great as far as the hanging and appearance goes. I am by no means an expert at any of this . . but I think it really worked out better than I anticipated. I ended up using a French Style Wrap Around Curtain Rod, and mounted the brackets 8 inches beyond the window at both ends. The curtains have 1 1/2 inch grommets that glide perfectly on the rod.I now have a beautiful, quiet and cool room.

Love the fabric & look! I only buy curtains from Pony Dance

Again Pony Dance delivered. I needed 40 in. curtains in my favorite unique fabric that I can only find in Pony Dance curtains, and I needed them to have silver grommets and be in stark white, not off white, for my kitchen, so I gave these a try and I’m elated! They look gorgeous!I have the same ones in 63 inch in my bedroom so I knew exactly what I wanted for my kitchen. Most ppl don’t have white above their sink in their kitchen bc they’re afraid of stains, but I’m sure these can handle some stain remover & several washes if needed.Unblocking: Like all? most? light-colored sun blocking curtains, they do not block out 100% of the sunlight, so if you want that you need DARK colored ones. I had dark gray ones hanging in the exact spot (again from same company & same fabric) and they made my kitchen completely dark in the daytime & I didn’t like that, but if you need that for your room they’ll keep it dark.Fabric: I forgot what the fabric is, but if you look close in their pics, it is very smooth and you can’t see the threading except when zoomed in rly close, which I think makes them gorgeous and modern. They are smooth and almost shine. Almost.Washing & durability: I always wash them in the hottest water (my water heater is on hottest setting), use borax and ammonia and they don’t hurt the fabric. I also dry them on the hottest setting & they hold up perfectly.Wrinkles: To keep out the wrinkles when drying, dry them alone. One panel I took out too soon even though it was dry and it’s wrinkled. The other panel I took out last from a full load of laundry and it is beautifully wrinkle free.Pics above: Taken on a sunny day at 3 in the afternoon when the sun just began blaring into my West window. I turned off all my kitchen lights so you could see the light coming through. I have windows with metal squares & that’s what is peeping through. Turned the lights back on for 2nd pic.Fit and Hanging: 5 stars, zero problems. I have mine hanging on a large diameter tension rod bc of the space it’s in and the grommets are large enough to fit the big rod.
