PONY DANCE Door Window Curtain, 36 x 72 Inches, Review:This curtain has a definite sheen to it that I didn’t notice in the listing photo. It’s okay. It’s less of a natural look than what I was hoping for. The stitching is solid, if a little funny in places. The stitches are far apart. It has less of an industrial feeling and more of a homemade feel. The back of the curtain is black. It’s the part that’s meant to face outward, to the outside. I don’t think that it would make any difference which way it was regarding how well it filters light.It is a thick polyester and, as I said, has that sheen to it. In normal house lighting, at some distance, I don’t think that it’s noticeable, if that matters to you. However, it is kind of funny for a curtain that is in a glass door to have a black side and a colored side, well, a little funny to me. But it needn’t be, I suppose, and it actually makes a lot of sense. I guess I would want the edges to not be visible from the back side, but maybe that’s just me.It comes with a wide hook and loop tie back that looks very nice. Care is machine wash cold, no bleach, tumble dry low, but I will hang mine to avoid damaging the fabric.The most important part, I think, is that it’s super thick and filters light really well. It also has two curtain rod slots on each end, which I think is helpful, especially if your rods are a little bit differently spaced. The color, also, is really nice and blends with both greens and blues (well, the ones we have in our house) well. I’ll include photos.

Great for hobgoblins like myself

I chose this PONY DANCE blackout panel because I needed something for the kitchen window that blocks light, adds privacy, and (let’s be real) hides the fact that I’m hiding from life while sipping coffee after a long server shift. The triple-layer blackout fabric (as the brand states) does a very decent job: early morning light and street glow barely creep in, and it feels a little cooler on the hot side of the house.Here’s what I liked:The blackout effect really works. I noticed a noticeable drop in glare and the sun-fading on my floor seems less.The thermal/insulated feel means the room doesn’t heat up quite as fast when the sun’s blasting through.Dual rod-pocket design means I could thread my existing rods through easily and the tie-back gives a cleaner “pulled aside” look rather than the panel just flopping.It looks simple and clean—the black color works for hiding kitchen chaos.Here are the things to be aware of:Width & fit: The listing you asked about says W36 × L72 (one panel). But many listings I found are W25 × L72 or other widths. If yours is indeed W36, great—but make sure it covers the full width you need.With heavy fabric like this, movement (opening/closing) isn’t as smooth as a light drape; the weight shows.Black fabric: yes it hides things, but it also shows lint/pet hair (if you have any) and might feel “heavy” visually in a kitchen if your space has limited natural light.Because it’s thick, if you want to actually tie it back often (for view/outside light), doing so well is more hassle than a thinner drape might allow.Final verdict:If your goal is serious light-blocking + privacy + a more “room darkening” vibe (especially helpful if your kitchen window faces bright light or you want to reduce heat/UV), this curtain does the job. Its worth buying if you measure carefully and accept the heavier look & feel; skip or consider a lighter option if you want something effortless to pull aside or more decorative.
