The sign is a bit small, but most of the time the delivery people do see it. It is attractive and I think it looks nice on the stone column. It doesn’t look “industrial” like some of the other signs did. I recommend it! 😃
The sign is very nice and well made. However, the self-adhesive strips are way too small for outdoor use on a rougher surface. I ended up using Command strips which seem to work just fine. Would recommend as it is very nice looking and well made.
Looks great in the package delivery box that I put outside. So far it is holding up to the cold/rain/snow.
- I was so excited (it doesn’t take much) to receive this sign and was willing to pay the higher price to get an item made in the USA (even though it meant not getting a metal one like I wanted, I knew it would at least be of higher quality). However, I ran into a bump in the road. I immediately proceeded to clean the back with rubbing alcohol so I could apply the adhesive (the instructions did say to do this). But the alcohol stripped right through the printed back. Rather than just giving a bad review and returning it for my money, I’d thought I’d first reach out to the seller to see what was going on and if it could be resolved. They got back to me and said that they realized there was an error in the instructions and that they would correct them, as well as refund my money. Apparently you use alcohol on the surface you are applying the sign to, but not on the sign itself.- I will also caution that it says water can damage the sign- even though they are obviously intended to be used outside. Since my first one was already messed up, I tested some water on it. I ran it under running water for about 30 seconds and then tried to rub the print off. I did not see any damaging effects. So perhaps it is only sustained submersion that will be a problem.- Otherwise the sign is great. The acrylic is 3mm thick. The printing is on the backside of the acrylic. It would have been nice to have some pre-drilled holes for hanging option. I may use my messed up one to test the possibility of doing this myself without cracking the acrylic. I also may try a spray sealant on the printed side to see if it will protect it from water.
