I’m on the fence with this

I liked the idea of a decorative bowl in the kitchen to store and display fresh fruit. This bowl seemed to fit the bill in photos, but in person I’m not quite sold.It’s a little smaller than I was expecting, even with the pedestal it’s 5” tall and 8” wide at its largest. The scallop design is nice, but I can’t really get it out of my head that the overall look is more like an urn—not the kind of thing I really associate with a kitchen. Maybe the color is what’s throwing me, and the white would have been a wiser choice.It definitely seems to be made well. There are little tabs on the base so it doesn’t scratch surfaces, there are no chips or dents in the composite material, and it’s very sturdy—no tipping over here.It arrives in an actual box! This has been rare for many products on Amazon lately, and has made the ability to gift items a bit uncomfortable, but that’s no issue here. What I did find odd is that there is a pretty strong odor coming from the bowl. It’s the odor of dirty/sweaty feet in a locker room. It’s strange and hasn’t faded as of yet.Aside from the odor, I think my feelings are based on how I had wanted to use it. It will probably have to be repurposed to another room, if I end up keeping it. The black just isn’t elegant enough to be that kitchen piece for me.

This bowl is more of a modern design made of a heavier resin material.This bowl can have multiple uses, your imagination is the only stopping point.I was going to use mine to put some fruit and nuts in it for a table centerpiece for the snacking inclined.It has a grayish and black speckle look to it; giving it that modern look. Rock-Like Pedestal Decorative Bowl Will Add an Interesting Item to Your Decor

I really like the look and even the feel of this decorative bowl which has a real rock texture even though it is advertised as being made of resin. The design is also attractive and It will make a great coffee table centerpiece, or as in my case, it is being used to hold tomatoes and winter squash.The reason I only gave the bowl four stars is because it's smaller than I expected. Of course, I should have looked at the dimensions before ordering, but if you use the seller's image samples showing the bowl sitting on a coffee table as I did, it looks larger than it actually is. In my opinion, the item is too small to use as a fruit bowl. And overall it could would benefit from enlarging the size.
