Soft material, but mid quality

After my newly adopted puppy destroyed our living room rug, we decided to get a cheap one till she grows out of it. This nuLoom rug looks good, and is very well-priced ($227 for 9x12). So we went for it.Pros:- Cheap, fluffy and comfy and the dogs seem to like it.- Nice creamy color and design is simple enough.Cons:- Feels cheap, super thin. I mean it arrives folded in 6ths. I have a feeling the high-low pile design is so they dont have to use as much material to make the rug lol even the high pile shag sections feels like you're walking on bare floor.- Been a few days and still smells pretty bad. I'm sure it'll go away eventually but our old $1k rug did not have this problem lolIt is ok for what it is, but definitely replacing the second the dog stops destroying nice things...

Beautiful neutral colors go with any decor

I don't know why this rug has so many haters. I had trouble finding the right size rug for this room. Wanted a family gaming lounge room for crafts, cat toys and gaming. Just another living room basically.The first rug I tried wasn't right and then I found this one. Went with neutral tones with a higher pile and more shag. I would say it's a good thickness. I wouldn't call it thin like some of the other reviews.The colors are more subtle and have some cream, light grey (that looks more white) and softer beige. The colors are very subtle as is the pattern, but enough to notice and add some interest.I was nervous to get it after reading some of the reviews. The one that called it a bath mat had me very worried. I personally like the rug. It seems durable and lays perfectly flat. There wasn't any unusual odor. If you buy rugs with any frequency you would recognize that as the regular new rug smell.It doesn't have to be warm being in Florida, but it looks and feels soft on the feet.The room is in progress and need a desk by the window and didn't want a big rug that would go into the desk space. This 6x9 was perfect to define the areas better.For now this was one of the two first pieces I got for this room and very pleased with the rug and my boneless couch too.

Rug looks dull and matted, not the sculpted texture shown

Appearance:The rug in person looks completely different from the product photos. The listing shows a soft, sculpted texture with clear, visible shapes, but what I received looks flat and dry. The circles and arcs are hard to see because the shag is uneven and matted. It honestly looks like someone tossed it in a dryer, there’s no plush texture at all.Texture and Feel:It’s supposed to be a soft shag rug, but it feels rough and dry to the touch. The fibers clump together instead of standing up like they do in the listing photos. It doesn’t have that fluffy or full texture that was advertised, and overall it just looks lifeless.Thickness and Functionality:The thickness is average, not too thin, but it doesn’t feel soft or cushiony underfoot. It’s also not wrinkle-resistant like the description claims, mine came with deep folds that still haven’t relaxed after several days. It definitely doesn’t lay flat or smooth out easily.Color and Design:The color doesn’t match the photos at all. Instead of a clean beige tone, it looks dull and slightly dirty even when brand new. The design itself is barely visible because the texture is so uneven.
