This seems like such a boring thing to review but this pad fits so perfectly under my rug and there is zero slippage. We have two dogs that like to chase each other and the thing stays put. It also offers a little bit of additional padding which feels great underfoot. Excellent quality and good value.
Very nice. The rug is thick and sturdy, but also looks great! My two dogs love it and it cleans up nicely with a quick vacuum!
The rug will slip not for heavy traffic
Modern rugs are ridiculously thin. I bought this to help thicken up a new rug. The rug is thicker than this pad, so my intended use wasn’t really successful. Its best use is for its rubber back. This thing doesn’t slip around. The top is a heavy felt that also does a good job keeping the rug from sliding around on top. It keeps the rug in place and that’s important so it works well for that purpose. It’s easy to trim if necessary, but it’s too sturdy to rip or tear. The rubber back also helps keep spills off the floor. So for its nonslip and water protection, it’s great. If thickness is the most important thing, this pad isn’t what you’re looking for. It does fit perfectly under an 8 foot round rug. Maybe too perfectly because if you don’t center the rug exactly right, the pad shows underneath. But like I said, it’s easy enough to trim.
