Solid Comfort and Strong Grip, With a Break-In Period - Should Last Many Years

I just got some high-end rugs that do not have non-slip bottoms, so I added this rug pad underneath and immediately noticed the difference in comfort. The padding gives the rug a much more substantial feel underfoot, making the space cozier and more pleasant to walk or sit on. It also does a great job anchoring the rug in place. Once positioned, it stays put even with regular foot traffic.What I really like is that it provides grip without relying on adhesives. There’s no stickiness, no residue, and no worry about damage to the floor underneath. It also feels well constructed, with seams and edges that don’t crumble or shed when adjusting the rug.That said, this pad does require patience. Because it arrives tightly folded and compressed, the creases are noticeable at first. I let it rest flat for a couple of days as recommended, and while it improved, some faint ridges were still detectable under thinner rugs. They don’t affect performance, but they can be felt if you’re sensitive to unevenness. I have another, thicker high-end rug where the ridges are not at all noticeable.The thickness is a plus for cushioning, but it also adds a bit of height, so I can see how it might become a tripping concern at the edges depending on placement. My rugs are actually slightly larger than the pad (by about an inch all around), so this isn’t an issue for me. The price is also on the higher side compared to simpler non-slip pads, though the added comfort helps justify it.Overall, this is a high-quality rug pad that delivers excellent grip and noticeable cushioning. If you’re willing to give it time to fully relax, and you want comfort as much as stability, it’s a strong option. Four stars overall from me.

Great Cushioning and Grip, but Creases Take Time to Rela

This non-slip rug pad does a great job at exactly what it’s designed to do—keep the rug firmly in place while adding extra cushioning underfoot. After using it with a 5’ x 7’ area rug for a little over a week, I’m impressed with its performance and overall quality, with one notable caveat.First, the grip is excellent. The PVC anti-slip backing holds onto hard floors very well, and my rug hasn’t budged even with daily foot traffic. The combination of felt and thick foam adds noticeable comfort, making the rug feel more substantial and plush. It also provides good sound absorption and gives the room an overall cozier feel.I also appreciate the protective aspect. It’s thick enough to create a buffer between the rug and the floor, so I’m not worried about scratches or dents from furniture. And unlike adhesive grippers, there’s no residue or risk of damaging the flooring.My only complaint—and the reason for four stars instead of five—is the creasing. Because the pad arrives vacuum-compressed, the folds and wrinkles were quite prominent at first. Even after letting it expand for the recommended 48 hours (and now after a full week of use), some of the creases still haven’t smoothed out completely. They don’t affect the pad’s function, but they do cause slight unevenness under thinner rugs, and I wish the material relaxed more easily.Overall, though, this is a high-quality, sturdy rug pad that delivers on comfort, grip, and floor protection. If the compression creases resolved more quickly, it would be perfect.

Worked great under a rug to keep feet warm

I used this to insulate the floor of my camper trailer under the rug that I have in the walkway. It's really nice to have warmer floors when I get up on a cold morning. What really won me over was the non-slip grippiness. The rug had a bit of grip on the bottom but it still slid around. With this pad things stay in place and don't move around anymore.I did have to trim it down a little bit to fit the space but that wasn't a problem at all, it cut nicely and I tucked the edge up against the wall under a small overhang.It's got a nice thickness to it which I'm sure helps it insulate but it also adds some nice softness to the rug and makes it feel nice to step on. It was super easy to use I just trimmed it to the right size and threw is down under the rug.

Needs more grip!

I got a 5x7 and the size is true, and fit nicely under my rug. It does add a bit of cushion to our rug but we mainly got this for the non-slip. It does add a bit of grip to our rug, but not my a lot. As a whole the rug doesn't move, but the corners are still very slippery. I do wish there was more grip especially to the corners. Pretty easy to lay down. It comes folded but the creases do eventually fade away after a few days of laying it flat on the floor.
