I really like this rug, but the given description is not really accurate

This rug is so, so soft. I'm autistic, and I love to sit on the floor just as so many of us like to. The problem is I hate the texture of most rugs. I can sit on this one though; it is that soft. I would say it is a great rug for a family room or any other room where you expect to be on the floor to play games, play with animals, or any other reason. I would call the color of this rug a lighter steel gray, but it should be noted that if it is brushed one way, it looks more gray, and if it is brushed the other way, the white is stronger, so it is a much paler gray. It doesn't take much for the rug to look marbled. You would need something akin to a 1970's carpet rake to get it to look anything like the given pictures, and even then, it's not going to stay that way unless you never step on it. The carpet pile is way to short for me to consider it shag, and since it is so easily moved from one direction to another, I would not consider it thick either. The memory foam backing helps make the rug cushiony without needing a separate carpet pad. The carpet is nicely edged with a lighter gray edging that more closely matches the lighter gray shade/direction of the carpet. I would prefer the edging to be a darker gray because the light gray really stands out against the dark, and this one doesn't seem to be quite the same underlying hue. Overall, I like this rug for what it is, but I can't say it really matches the description provided.

Washable, terry cloth rug

This rug has a very weird texture/fabric. It feels almost like a fiber cloth towel. The rug does not vaccum, and needs to be washed in a washing machine. Would easily fit in any size washer that can accomodate a king size duvet. Its very soft, good color. My cats love the feel of the rug.

This rug is pretty nice. The only issue I have is how to get the folds from shipping out. I walked around on it to try to smooth out some of the creases but I think it will be awhile. The rug is cushiony but not that thick, the cushion is much thinner than some I have had. But for the price it's good.I do like the color and the way the fabric has some depth to it when the pile is brushed one way or another.It's very soft and looks great but I'm unsure of the lasting quality since it's not that thick. It will work under door openings though so that's a good thing. It does not slip, there are small rubber designs on back.I really don't think a rug this size is washable though, it will never fit in my machine. It is functional and durable for now.

Cold mornings are a thing of the past!

In the mornings, my feet feel pretty cold. Our hardwood floors are bare and cold, leaving my feet feeling cold. I laid this 8 x 10 foot area rug in my living room.
