Not quite that "real wood" look, but still a decent visible sign to ward off solicitors

Anyone else need a big, bold in your face type of sign to get door solicitors attention? Well I did and this was after having put a small "No Soliciting" sticker on my Ring doorbell. I wanted something that a door knocker couldn't say that they missed and this sign works for what I need. First impression, there is nothing "wood" about this item except maybe the ingredients to mold it. The front is a painted/printed image of a wood background, but as shown in the second picture, the actual frame is not solid wood and instead some MDF or something similar. The color of the background is accurate and the white lettering is clear and easy to read, which can be an issue with some other printed designs that have blurry text. It's a good sized sign and if hanging on the front of a door, a person would have to very clearly ignore what it's saying to miss it. I have run into an issue that because I hung the sign on a wreath hanger that it bounces and knocks on the door from the wind. I'm actually thinking of making a wreath around it to really jazz up the design. Overall, if you're looking for a sign to make solicitors keep walking, it's a decent value for a simple but effective attention-grabber.

As a renter who works from home, I have developed a very strong appreciation for anything that prevents random door knocking. Between sales pitches meant for homeowners and my dogs absolutely losing their minds every time the doorbell rings, I finally decided it was time to send a clear message… without being rude.This sign does exactly that.The size is just right. At 12 x 12 inches it’s big enough to be seen and read easily from the walkway, but not so large that it overwhelms the door or looks obnoxious. No tools, no drama. Just hang and enjoy the sweet sound of fewer interruptions.For the price, this is a great value. It looks nice, holds up well, and actually does what it’s supposed to do. Since putting it up, I’ve had noticeably fewer unsolicited knocks, which alone makes this sign worth every penny.

Not "high quality wood," not weather sealed

This measures 11 3/4" in diameter, so it is close to the 12" it is advertised as. It also looks just like the photo in terms of the face of it.I wasn't expecting super high quality for the price, but the description is misleading in several ways.It seems more like compressed cardboard or partcle board than the "High Quality Wood" it is advertised as. The wood grain look on the surface is just a printed part of the text image. It's also about half the width of a pencil and very lightweight, not "sturdy" - I could definitely see it getting blown off the door with a strong gust of wind.Most disappointing, despite the pictures showing this being hung on the exterior side of a door and the description saying it is suitable for front doors or porches, this is not weather sealed at all. I really don't know what I'm going to do with it now because it will quickly get warped and ruined outside in any rain or snow.
