Can be used outside as well!

I actually hung these outside of my toddlers window. They are a table cloth kind of material and so they can get wet with rain outside and not be a problem. My toddler has torn down the drapes in his room 🙄 This works great for outside and makes the room dark enough! Easy to hang up! I bought another set so I can do the top of his window outside too. Then I’m going to take his drapes down inside.

Wrinkles

I bought this long piece to be able to cut it and use on two windows. The top of the curtain has two long pieces of preattached sticky tape. I thought the bottom would be the same. The bottom and sides require you to use the extra pieces of small hook & loop to secure it to the window frame.Before ordering, I was hoping that when I cut this curtain in half, it would have preattached sticky tape on both ends. Then I could come down the sides with the extra pieces of hook & loop.Regardless, the curtains work, just hard to get the wrinkles out. I steamed these before hanging in the window. It helped but still some wrinkles showing.The room is dark and the mission was accomplished with minimal light showing around the edges.

Excellent Blackouts

I live in Alaska where the sun doesn't set in the summer. Once installed, they block light beautifully, and it is easy to take them down when I want to let the sunlight in. They survived one summer with no wear and tear so I anticipate being able to use them repeatedly.These were easy to install once measured and cut, but I found measuring and cutting to be a little bit of a pain, in part because the material comes to you a bit crinkled and it likes to slide around. Plan to use a large flat surface and have something heavy to hold corners down while you measure. Also make sure to follow the install directions for the velcro adhesives, doing that will make using the velcro to open them up much easier. I screwed up the adhesive on a few and I was pulling the whole velcro thing off the window.

Great energy find

Budget friendly darkening and helps with heat. We have an old set of French doors we need to replace. The heat that comes through the windows alone heat our whole tiny house. So I tried these, measured just a tad over the size of the windows due to the interior frame and the heat dropped 10 degrees instantly. We have had them for a few weeks and we have gone from not being able to sit in the room with 2 fans and thermal drapes to working in there all day when we work from home. The temp is still about 5 to 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house but it is a drastic change from the 30 degree swing we were seeing in our older home.
