100% Polyester with a Linen Look; Flat Installation with Velcro

NICETOWN Linen-Look Blackout Door Curtain Review:These have an amazing linen-like look, but they are not, in fact, 100% linen. They are 100% polyester. There is no flax in these. That means they won't have the durability of linen, but they will have the ability to block light in a single panel. If you want something all natural, this is not it. If you want something that looks natural, this is pretty good.It is, in fact, quite lovely, and blocks a lot of light, but not all. It is also probably treated with chemicals to give a crisp feel, but I don't know that for sure. It has a soft look, but not a soft feel. Make sure that if you iron it to put it on the appropriate polyester setting.I really love the look and the color and am disappointed in the misleading advertising. Like many folks, we're transitioning back to natural fibers and moving plastics out of the home and I don't want to be bringing new polyester fibers in.Otherwise, this is a nice curtain. I also hadn't realized that it was meant to be adhered directly to the door. Upon removing something like that, the paint on our old door would definitely come off. (Although, I definitely appreciate the instructions explaining to use a hair dryer to soften the velcro strip to come off. Who knows? It could work here, too.) Sure, the sun-blocking is superior like that, but I think our use will likely remain making it work with curtain rings with clips.I've found that we can completely block the view into our living room through the window in the front door just using a regular wrap-around curtain rod with a regular curtain or bit of fabric that has that extra width. You just have to make sure the rod is high enough and the curtain falls low enough. Keep some play in the curtain. This curtain, however, is quite narrow and would have to be done differently for that particular window to block views like we like. It will fit across, as I first believed, but it needs to be done flat. I'll include pictures of the curtain and instructions.

Great for renters or where you don't want to put holes to hang a curtain

I rent and have a glass paned front door. This has been a great option for providing a little more privacy and sun-blocking when needed. It's a light fabric and not blackout, but it makes a noticable difference. The curtain was very easy to install following the directions and has held in place well over the past couple of months.You can either have it rolled up fully or totally down, there is no ability to adjust in between which was fine for me. The back side has a slightly different fabric weave than the front, and when it is down the pieces that hold it up hang loosely down the back side. If those things don't bother you, this is a five star product.

Piece of fabric taped to the windows frame

I don't know what I was expecting here, but this just wasn't it. You basically stick a sticker to the window frame, and then this velcros on to it. It is just a flat piece of fabric with velcro straps, and tie straps that also velcro. In my head, I had an idea of having it raised to various positions, or left down for light blocking. There is really just one position to have it lifted to, and straight down just looks like a sheet taped to the window. I will probably never install this anywhere.The fabric itself is pretty thin. It would not be light blocking.
