It smells horrid, to the point of nausea

The rug itself is simply perfect. However the smell is nauseating. The one delivered to me smelled so musty is permeated my whole house. I sprayed it with an enzyme spray and then waited for that to dry, and sprayed it with lysol. The smell seems to be dissipating, but it took a few days. A bit worried if there is some kind of mold that caused it, as my grown daughter has allergies, but thankfully she has not been over since unboxing it.

Great price for this natural fiber rug!

This rug is so soft and surprisingly cushy! It is absolutely gorgeous in our room and we are very happy. I was a little thrown off when we first got the rug because the box it was in was VERY dirty and looked like it had gotten wet but the rug itself was wrapped in plastic. It also smelled kinda like dirt but it is a natural fiber rug so I think that's a good thing. I vacuumed it and got a good bit of fuzz but it's a natural fiber rug so it's going to shed a little. All of this seems good to me! Very very happy with our purchase.

Heavy Carpet - Nice Touch

The carpet was delivered in a timely manner and was well packaged. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was a strong smell. To address this, I laid the carpet outside for a couple of days to air out.See Photos. This accomplished two things. The strong odor dissipated and the wrinkles from shipping smoothed out.The next day I moved the carpet inside and placed it next to the couch in the living room. See Photos. The carpet has a nice, weighted feel underfoot, but I did have to use carpet tape underneath to prevent it from slipping.It is very comfortable and soft to the touch, making it a great addition to the space.The carpet looks great and so far it is very sturdy.Enjoy!
