I'm SO SO glad I took a chance on these curtains. Previous reviewers (and even the seller) mentioned that the background wasn't white but more gray. I did NOT find that to be the case in the ones I purchased at all, mine are perfect... so beautiful.I bought a comforter set a few weeks ago from Amazon. It has a botanical theme with assorted sage and green leaves on a bright white background. Its beautiful but I had a really hard time finding matching curtains. I must've bought and returned 5 different curtain sets before I rolled the dice with these ones. First off....as I mentioned before, they don't look gray at all to me. Before hanging them, I held them up against my new comforter, they were a perfect match to the leaves and white background. Secondly, they have a really smooth feel with a white blackout thermal panel on the opposite side, great for my southern exposure windows. The big silver grommets made it super easy to hang them and I believe they also are what made the pleats line up so perfectly, they hang really nicely. Lastly, they were a bit more than I wanted to spend on drapes initially but after receiving them I found they were well worth what I paid. Amazon shipped them out pretty fast, ordered yesterday, got em today. The quality, performance, style and overall beauty of them exceeded my expectations, I was not disappointed. They are nice black out curtains, But you can see a little light come through,, not much, and thats just fine cause they are in my living room, where i don't want total darkness. They are room darkening for sure and proved the claim of blocking heat! I get afternoon sun and my living room is usually super bright and hot. I had sheer & linen curtains up previously in my office, but with it being a South-facing window, there was still too much blinding light & heat coming in in the afternoon. So I bought these.
