Great book ends
Although they're a little smaller than I pictured, they do a great job of holding up books, and look nice doing it. The set of four seems a reasonable value, and the materials seem of good quality. There's foam non slip feet that aren't attached, which is nice because it gives the option of a little more low profile under the books, but if you have a slipperier surface you can put them on.I would absolutely buy these again.(I rated three stars for lightweight because for the size they are a nice weight, but it's not lightweight per se. Just about the right weight balance to be easy to use and not strain a shelf, but not light cheap material)

Beautiful, but not heavy enough for large, heavy binders
The wood is gorgeous! They seem to be well-made. I purchased these bookends to hold up 2" binders which were full of photographs in sleeve protectors. The size of the bookends and the movement possible within the binders caused the binders to tip over when removing a binder from the middle. The bookends aren't heavy enough to prevent the binders from tipping over so it didn't work well for my application. For standard books smaller than binders, I'm sure they would work very well. They look GREAT!

Very good for a few smaller books. They are tiny. Not for comic storage, not for paperbacks, and not ideal for a lot of weight. Heavier books will slide on smooth surfaces even with the rubber feet. See pic to understand how absolutely miniature these things are.. Not knocking it.. they went for another set of books, other than intended.

There was a section to fill out "lightweight" for review. Sort of threw me because was not my intention to purchase lightweight bookends as I wanted a pair that would hold up my heavier books which these do in a space saving, modern looking way. Nice wood - matches my desk which is alder wood, did a nice job smoothing edges and they are identical in size and have a nice low profile metal "L" on bottom to easily slide books onto. Winner in my book : )

Great Nonskid Bookends with a Modern Flair
They look great and do the job. I use them on a glass topped desk and they do not skid. The secret is to use the small non-skid pads that you stick to the underside of the bookends. Very modern looking.
