Quick installation, love the solar power and remote!!!

These were simple to install and they block out all the light. They fit in the window perfectly using the measurement guide in the instructions. I love the solar panel, because the window we have them on is high and it would be difficult to change batteries if the solar function wasn’t available. The price was the best I could find for the quality and ease of use. They function well so far, we have had them for about 2 weeks now.

Great purchase

I was a little bit iffy about purchasing this product because there are only two reviews, both 5 stars, and posted on the same day. I bought it anyway. My window is 34 5/8 inches. I bought the 34 inch one and it's perfect. Works great with the remote. I'm still waiting for the smart hub to come in so I can connect it to Alexa but I expect that to work great as well.This is a window above our front door that's out of reach so I didn't want to buy a normal shade for it. This is a reasonably priced motorized shade, at least compared to other similar products sold on Amazon. I like that the solar panel is included, as that's the way we're powering the shade. The color is nice, it's grey on the inside and the color on the other side is white.I'm very satisfied and would totally get one for each of the windows in my house if I could afford it. We've only had it a couple days but so far so good. I'll update the review if I experience anything else, positive or negative.Edit 5/2/25: works great with alexa and the smart hub, I got the hub about a week after I wrote the above review. It has worked really well. Sometimes it just won't want to work when giving the command to Alexa and in that case I use the remote. Most of the time it starts working by itself the next time I give the command. I've also had to unplug and replug the smart hub in and that has fixed it as well. It works correctly about 90% of the time and the other 10% I have to use the remote. Still worth it imo.

Not hard to install

Once, I figured out how to install this it was easy. I do love the motorized blind as it looks great and now I can open my blind all the way. It truly is a blackout blind just a little light from the edges. The size I got fit good. As far as durability, it seems durable. My reason for 4 stars is the “ Valance” was cracked in the corner and there is a pin hole in the blind. I was not going to exchange it because I already have it installed and of course didn’t notice the pin hole until I was able to actually use it. The cracked valance I knew before I installed it but I figured no one is going to touch it once it was up and it still did its job and you can’t see it from a far. I want to get some more of these actually! It is a little slow going up and down but still worth having.

Easy to install, charging could be better

I think I'd give this more of a 4.5 stars. Install was easy enough and using the remote is great. My main issue with this item is that I had no idea if the blinds were charged or not. I wanted to try to charge it before I installed it, as I was using this for a window above my stairs. This required a ladder and I didn't want to install the blinds if they were broken. When I first tried the remote, the blinds didn't move. I assumed it was the battery, so I tried to plug it in to an old cell phone charger. Usually that would be enough juice for the blinds to move but nothing happened. I waited for 30 minutes, still nothing. So I tried a different charger, waited 30 more minutes, still nothing. I then just left it for 3 hours and came back to it and it was working. It'd be nice if there was a blinking light to indicate charging or anything really.After testing that it worked, install as a cinch. The solar panel was easy to place on the window and I haven't had to try to charge it or do anything with it for months. Does a great job keeping the sun out and the remote is simple, but responsive. So overall works great, just wish I didn't have to waste so much time figuring out if it worked or not!

Fail just after a few weeks of use

I bought these blinds for my entire downstairs and will never buy again. Items are easy to setup and install and look great but after only a few weeks, 1 by 1 the items just quit working. Try resetting by following the instructions provided but with no luck. They just die either in the open or close position. Don’t waste your money on these poor quality blinds. Spent well over $700 on 10 blinds and all now worthless

Not the best quality when connecting to Alexa.

I started by purchasing one along with a hub just to install and test it out. it worked pretty well so i took the plunge and ordered eight more so i could cover every window in my house. the goal was to hook every window up to Alexa so i could open/close at sunset and sunrise, im big on automating my house and this was something ive been wanting to do for a while. it should be noted that the when doing an "inside mount", there will be a decent amount of light that comes in along the sides of the shade. thankfully, the unit itself is small enough, i was able to mount it behind my existing blinds and it looks pretty nice! however the automation and responsiveness is just not there. the hub is very cheep and though it has good range, it does not do well with multiple windows. at first when i had Alexa close all the windows, half of them would not get the signal. so i had to re-configure so there was a 5-10 second delay between each window command. one or two windows were still not receiving the signal so i actually bought a SECOND hub to split things up a bit more. as im wiring this shortly after sunrise a few weeks into use of these shades, im looking at one window that did not open. its always a different window too, there is no rhyme or reason for it. i am confident it is not user error. it might be because i have many smart devices in my house and there are just too many signals bouncing around, but that has never been an issue in the past. you definitely get what you paid for with this item. if you are able, i would go for a slightly better/more expensive model and hope it is more responsive or better quality. it should also be noted if you "crinkle" the shade at all, it is easy to puncture and the crinkles will not come out. thankfully i learned that on the tucked away corner bathroom window where i wont have to see it.
