Great Product! Real wood, not some particle glued wood. I have splinters in my fingers to prove it. Use gloves when handling/mounting. Used the provided wall metal dowl pin/brackets into two studs. Added some decorative under shelf 'L' brackets for extra support. I weigh 250lbs and can hang on this shelf. Added it above our coffee bar. About to purchase another one for my home office. Great rustic design.

Beautiful piece of reclaimed wood. Didn’t use the hardware that comes with it. Toggle anchors were used on the corbials,and the shelf is free floating.
I purchased three of the reclaimed wood fireplace mantels to use as shelves in my open closet. Received them before my expected delivery date and was extremely happy with them. Spoke with our contractor ahead of ordering who recommended that I buy the upgraded hardware which the company automatically installed before delivery and the contractor had no issues whatsoever installing them. They did, however, add a few screws where studs were for added support. As installed, they are extremely sturdy. Size ordered was exactly what I received. Had no trouble installing but that’s what contractors are for 😉. As for price, you get what you pay for. Where else are you going to get this look and feel?
I ordered 2 pieces and had them installed. Both are beautiful. The large shelf is 25lbs and did not come with the CORRECT hardware to hold it in place. I only received directions for the smaller piece, not for the larger one, which was confusing.My general contractor had to make two trips to Home Deport to purchase an 8 inch drill bit, to drill the holes once it was lined up on the wall. He also purchased zip tie reinforced anchors and brackets to fully support it.While the end result is beautiful, you have to have someone install it that knows what they are doing, especially against drywall and not going into a stud.I gave a four star due to lack of directions and hardware. The shipping needs to also be better packaged. A piece of my corner was broken off and I repaired it with wood glue which did the trick.
It is good quality, heavy (you will need to secure it into a studded wall)
Beautiful piece however the color is very dark on the top and bottom not matching the sides. Odd. But natural I guess. It was difficult to hang from the given brackets so I purchased L shaped ones from Amazon to secure the shelf to the wall. Overall it’s just ok. I wish I would have kept looking when shopping for the shelf.
