The book decor was a little larger than I had expected. I purchased it to put in a dough bowl. It was too large for that, so I just sat it by the dough bowl. It is probably about the size of an index card, so the words on the books are easy to read. The tassel does not come attached, making it optional. I chose to leave it off.

The product is very small. I thought it was bigger but the aesthetic in my livingroom was epic!!! Very nice quality. It's just the size is much small than I expected.
