This was a present to my husband for our 40th anniversary and I was not disappointed at all. The quality is better than expected, and the workmanship quite beautiful. I did not buy a stand with it, (too expensive for both) and until spring when it will go in his garden mounted on a decorative piece of wood log, it sits on a wrought iron table stand. Many people have commented on it’s beauty and originality. One day the table was pushed over by the dog and it crashed to the floor—I thought “so much for that” but I was wrong! Not a scratch!! (Then I wondered if the FLOOR would be ok—thankfully it was too) Although pricey, this is money well spent. It’s very heavy and solid. And, I like the way you can put your own words on! I’m very satisfied.

If you are second-guessing, don't! This is just one of the most beautiful things I have ever purchased for a gift. I bought it for our 40th wedding anniversary for my husband. He likes unusual things like this, which explains why he married me! LOL.The craftmanship, weight, and exceptional beauty of this item is so lovely and worth every cent. I had it customized for our wedding anniversary and he just loves it. Can't wait to put it outside this summer. The only tiny little thing that I thought was sort of well, unprofessional, was the amount of smeared paint on the backside. I know no one will see it, but when I turned it over to screw in the sun dial, it was really noticeable. Other than that... I LOVE THIS SUN DIAL!
