It’s a thick felt. Might look red-orange in some light.
looks great. This is the 4x30ft size it came in a roll. flattened out pretty easily. It came with a double sided tape to hold it in place. We used it on cement it held on the entire time. It seems durable enough to use it again so we swept it off, shook the dust out, and rolled it back up after the party. The first 2 pictures are at the same time and same lighting. The more red looking was just taken up close. When I first opened it up I was a little worried it looked a bit orange, but once we put it down I loved it.

What a fun thing to own! Think of all the fun events you could put on with this.I've already thought of a bunch.We have an event in our church where the girls go from being in the kids 'Sunday school' to a group of older girls. It's a big deal and the girls look forward to it for years.There are different themes each year and we find fun ways to introduce the new girls to the older girls already in the group.For this particular plan we'll have them come in as 'Stars' and get interviewed. We'll have an intro about them as they are walking down the 50 feet of carpet and then they can stand in front of the fun backdrop for pictures and feel so special.This is a perfect carpet for being durable and for long lasting. It kind of reminds me of a brillo pad on one side. The other side is a little more furry. You could easily use either side for this and it could be okay put over grass because it also reminded me a little of the softer AstroTurf.It's kind of large to store but not horrible since it rolls up so nicely. And a bit heavy to carry. But that means it's good quality and not a lightweight thing that will roll up or fly away easily.I'm also planning to use it for an upcoming family reunion. We'll have the kids dress up as an ancestor and wear their 'uniform' or outfit from their day and the announcer can tell who is up next as the kids model the outfit.It could be great used for prom pictures as well.So many fun uses.Nice bright red color is perfect for what it represents.Fun item.
