Be aware that the face is old looking and therefore dark. In dim light the time is difficult to make out. Clock arrived in pristine condition. Installed 3 batteries and hands and gears moved as they should. Durability and battery life are yet to be determined.
I started this review with 3 stars. Why? Because it arrived in pieces. All of the hands were tinkling around inside as I picked it up to unbox. It had been packaged upside down. Although it would be hard to keep face-up during transit, packaging it face-down is insta-fail. To take it apart to attempt to fix requires the removal of 10x hidden screws, half of which were either stripped or the receiver was snapped off in construction. After I got it apart and got everything put back together I popped in the batteries. The clock mechanism is silent. The gear mechanism is anything but. Don't put it in a room that you intend to use for sleeping. My phone vid doesn't do the gear noise justice. I gave back one star because it does look cool...

It was broken. 4 screw was out Somehow it was inside the box and the big hand the round disk inside, where the big hand sit was warped,I'm disappointed.

Very nice wall clock! I am slowly turning my house into a home and buying things to fill it up. This clock has a very nice look to it, kind of reminds me of a steampunk style. It was very easy to put batteries in, take 3 AA batteries. It doesn’t come with instructions so I am unsure of what the white hook with 4 metal prongs is for. Works good and tells the time once set. Doesn’t make any noise, to ticking or chimes. Large sized and easy to ready. Stays accurate on time once it’s set. I used a 50lb wall anchor to hold it up, you don’t need that size I just choose that because it’s what I had on hand. I would say this clock weighs around 5lbs. Even my young kids are interested in this. It is a nice looking clock that makes a nice edition to my living room.
