I would absolutely buy them again.
I purchased these VAHARA Sandalwood incense sticks and I’m honestly very impressed. The scent is warm, soft, and deeply relaxing—perfect for meditation, yoga, or simply creating a calm atmosphere at home. It’s not overpowering or artificial; it smells natural and soothing.They burn evenly and last a good amount of time. I also love that they don’t produce excessive smoke like some cheaper incense brands, so the room doesn’t feel heavy afterward.The packaging is simple yet elegant, and you get a generous amount for the price. I received this product through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.This Incense smells so strong when you open the box. That is my first clue that there is a lot of "fragrance oil" in it. I usually check closely to make sure the Inscnese sticks are made the traditional way with all plant materials and essential oils. However, it was my mistake that I did not. The smell is not bad. It is light and floral. The aroma reminds me of dryer sheets. "fresh".However, it isn't the aroma of "sandalwood". The reason would be that there is NO REAL sandalwood in the sticks at all. The fragrance oil could imitate this scent in theory. However, it just does not.The package has the ingredients listed as:Coconut Shell Powder,Natural WoodPowder/Jiggit Powder (this is a binder used in incense making)Styrax Benzoin Gum Natural Resin,Bamboo (Bambusabalcooa)Fragrance (Perfume )I do not dislike the fresh smell, but I do avoid fragrance in general. Just so that you know what you are getting, if you like a fresh, clean smell and like it fairly strong, I think you would like these sticks. These are traditional sticks, so you will need a burner or holder of some kind to burn them. Sometimes I use a little plant pot with sand in it.Just remember to burn them with ventilation for the best health.They appear to be well-made and burn well. They are a decent value. They would be great in a home setting for refreshing a space and clearing out unwanted smells or energy. Also, they would make a nice addition to a meditation environment as long as you don't have students who are chemically sensitive. I use them long before the class arrives to clear the room. That way if someone is very sensitive, usually it isn't an issue. (just a thought)I give these sticks 4 stars. I left one star off for the lack of sandalwood smell. I would have settled for the scent even resembling sandalwood. (Amyris Essential oil would have done that fine. ) I do recommend them.
