Love this clock. The face is fairly large so it's easy to see from across the room. The color gives it a rich, deep appearance, and the curves add elegance. It's lightweight, maintains perfect accuracy, and there are no issues at all with it keeping time. The second hand constantly sweeps, so it's silent (no ticking).
Bought this clock for my and my husbands 43rd anniversary. I am very pleased with it. It is very high quality, nice and heavy and looks great on our mantle. Would definitely buy again.
I got this clock for my fiancés parents. They loved it and placed it on their fireplace mantel. It looks well finished and pretty.
Great clock and it is perfect for the fireplace mantel. It works great so far (one week) and keeps perfect time. The one AA battery seems to be powering it fine (it remains to be seen how long a battery lasts...but so far, so good). I like the 'sweeping' second hand as opposed to a 'ticking' second hand. The clock is also super silent. It's also available in a variety of colors! I may pickup a second aqua one for the beach house ;-)
If you're looking for an inexpensive mantel clock, this will fit the bill quite nicely. It's a quartz movement, so it will keep accurate time without needing to be wound, and it's silent (the clock is in a room where I often work from home, plus simulated chimes from quartz clocks don't sound as nice as the real thing).A couple of nitpicks, though:* The glass picks up glare from my floor lamp, which affects the readability of the clock when the lamp is turned on.* The battery cover broke when I was putting it back on the first time after setting the clock. I was hoping the cover would be made of more durable plastic. It's fortunately easy to hide, but that means the cover can be easily lost (and I'm glad I live alone and don't have young children to worry about).Overall, it's a good clock for the budget-conscious. Just be careful with the battery cover and keep the room lighting in mind.
We ordered the dark brown wood and it is as represented. It is attractive and accurate and looks great on our mantle. We opted for a silent clock, and it is quiet. We’re very happy with the purchase.
