Doesn’t burn properly

Mandarin is one of my favorite scents, so I was excited to get this size and $32! However, instantly upon opening the box, I smell mandarin but mainly a cat pee smell. I buy a lot of candles and nice brands, so I am used to them smelling amazing and burning property. The candle burns very low, dim and doesn’t completely melt down. I’ve burned it for 3 hours for 4 nights in a row, without doing anything to the wicks but I did remove excess wax buildup on the sides preventing the candle from working.I don’t recommend this candle.

Big and Pretty, Scent too Faint

This candle was much bigger than I expected, which was a nice surprise (pictured next to 30oz Yeti and 16.9oz Monster).Would be great, but the scent is basically non-existent. I can only smell it when hovering directly above it, inches away. The scent is great, but it unfortunately does not bring any scent to the room.If you’re someone sensitive to strong scents, this might be a good option for you. I’m choosing to keep it, but for the looks.

Sunset Mandarin smells like cat urine

I started to use the candle in our bedroom just yesterday. A couple of hours later it was smelling like cat urine in our bedroom. I thought I was imagining it but my husband came in the bedroom and asked me what was this awful smell. He also said it was smelling like cat urine.I have bought several candles from this brand but there is a real problem with this Sunset Mandarin candle. Are we the only one who smelled cat urine with this Sunset Mandarin candle.I am still within the time frame to return it but now I am thinking that I should maybe keep it and have it analyzed.

Look great, but they did NOT burn well at all !! 🙄

I buy alot of candles (2-4 every couple weeks) and usually just pick them up locally, but I've been looking for bigger candles that have a higher scent output. After looking at many candles on Amazon, I decided to try these and purchased 2 of the Sunset Mandarin candles. They arrived very nicely packaged and without any damage or problems. They looked great and I was anxious to get them lit and see how they really performed and smelled during the burn - At first, I was pleased with the scent output and everything, but after I lit them a 2nd time they started to DISAPPOINT me !! I don't know if the wicks are the problem or if it has to do with the way the wax melts, but they would only burn for a short time (maybe 20 minutes) before the wicks were being smothered out by the amount of melted wax that would accumulate and drown the wicks - Both of the candles did this, but one was slightly better than the other !?! I'm very knowledgeable and fully aware about how and when to trim the wicks and to also limit the burn time in order to increase the performance and life of the candles, but nothing helped with these !! In my opinion, I tend to blame the wicks for burning down too quickly and allowing the melted wax to flood out the flames much faster than they should which then leaves a very short wick to get lit again and eventually causing the candles to extinguish themselves- For the price $$$ of these, my disappointment in the performance has been big - The packaging, appearance and scent were all 1st class, but i didn't buy them to just look at without actually burning the candles for the scent and ambiance that I purchased them for - Needless to say, I'm bummed out !!
