This glass sculpture is absolutely gorgeous. It came well packed and in perfect condition, and it's nice and solid at the base, so even though it's rather narrow it doesn't seem likely to fall over. It's heavy too, feels like good quality. And the colors really pop in the sun! If you're looking for a beautiful accent for your home, this is worth the money. :)
I have always been a fan and collector of hand blown glass pieces so I was elated to find this massive Sun Conure Sommerso centerpiece. Upon opening the box, the sheer weight of the piece alone had me stunned so when I fully saw the substantial size in all of it's glory I could not believe how flawless and exuberant the piece was. I got the Sun Conure variation otherwise known as the Ethereal Flame style which has vibrant reds, oranges, yellows, and a hint of pink perfectly crafted and patterned with the Sommerso technique against a beautiful see-through crystal glass. This has elevated my dining table with it's beauty radiating daily and becoming a truly wild, burning flame when the sun glitters across those rich layers of saturated hues. I am baffled at the caliber and elegance of this piece for an amazing value when this specific style usually runs at least $130.
I have a fondness for blown glass, and I had high hopes for this swanlike piece. The vibrancy and elegant shape did not disappoint. It arrived well-protected in bubble wrap and thick Styrofoam. When I took it out of the box, it appeared to have a thin coating of something smeared on it. I wiped it down with a damp, soft cloth and gentle soap. This seemed to help, but once it dried, the marks were back. They appear to be micro scratches. I also noticed some larger scratches. The piece itself is beautiful, and the price for a handblown piece is reasonable, so I only deducted one star.
This 12-inch tall decorative art glass is Murano Summerso Italian style piece of blown glass. As an artist, I can appreciate the technique and detail in the glass sculpture. It is an attractive piece. It's good quality and fairly priced for a glass sculpture that weighs 3.5 pounds. These are handmade pieces, so each one is unique and different. Mine does not have the brightly saturated red color that is shown in the picture. When the sun shines on it, it has red, orange, and pink tones, which are absolutely stunning. This glass sculpture is not flawless and has several air bubbles in the piece. If you want flawless, though, it's going to cost you a pretty penny. I am very satisfied with this piece and think it makes a great statement piece in my feature window. I like the way it casts colors when the sun shines upon it. It has good stability as it has a cut and polished bottom to keep it sitting level. This would make a great housewarming gift, wedding gift, birthday gift, et cetera. It's a nice piece of art glass that anyone can enjoy. I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates beautiful art.
When I ordered this I was excited to get it, All those beautiful, bright colors, intense red, blue, orange. Alas, what I received was a far cry from the images on the web page (see photo's) washed out, faded brown with hints of red and faded blue. I took the photo's with the sculpture lit up with a bright LED desk lamp at 500K just above it with white Styrofoam right behind it, ideal conditions for it to look it's best. I did not adjust the color or saturation at all, what you see is what you'll get. If you like it order it and if not, look elsewhere.Hope this helps,Art
This has got to be one of the coolest pieces of decor I have in my house. It's a fairly decent size and does have quite a bit of weight to it. The entire thing has been hand blown, so it does have some small bubbles throughout, but the glass is thick. There's a red and yellow colored design thats been done throughout the entire middle part, inside of the glass. And it does have a flat bottom, so it is stable. This is definitely a piece that’s worth every penny, I highly recommend.
Item took a long time to arrive so I had high hopes for its quality. I would rate the beauty and build quality is below average. In the photos, the colors are vivid and striking, while in person, it is mostly clear with some minor hues of red and orange in it. Also has quite a few air bubbles in it. I am certainly not saying I could have done a better job myself, but there absolutely are better options out there in that price range.
