I got this rug in cream color, I love the softness and the geometric square pattern. This doesn’t have rubber backing on it. But nothing an underlay didn’t fix. The quality of this rug is very nice and I’m so pleased. It was exactly what I was looking for. I hope it cleans well and lasts a long time. So far it’s holding up exceptionally well.
There is (as others have noted) a chemical odor when this is unpacked from it's plastic roll--but it dissipated overnight and was not offensive.The rug is great for a dorm room or for an entry foyer. It is made of synthetic materials so not quite as soft as a natural rug--but not expensive and harder to stain.You need a pad with this to keep it from slipping around since the back does not provide any traction on the floor.
I was disappointed in this rug. The pattern in the pictures looks like it’s dimensional, but it’s an optical illusion. It’s a 2-d printed pattern that doesn’t even have the 3-d effect in person. I just looks flat.The worst part was the smell. The chemical odor was so strong, my family begged me to get it out of the house. It’s currently rolled up in the garage, hopefully off-gassing. If it was a darker color, I would use it on the back porch or the patio but being so light, it will look filthy in a week. For my purposes, it’s awkwardly stuck between too nice (and way too expensive!) and not nice enough for anywhere in my home.
Wife and I are loving this plush and super soft rug! Got the neutral cream color to compliment our beige/brown vinyl plank flooring. Has a heavyweight backing, so the rug stays in place nicely. This rug came rolled up instead of the usual thin rugs that come folded. Love the simplistic Greek key design!
Removed the plastic and laid out the rug in a spare room to air it out.When the fumes started burning our eyes, moved it to the finished basement. Could still smell the fumes upstairs, so didn’t want to use it. Tried to get a refund from the seller, but they wouldn’t offer a suggestion as to how to package the rug (approx. 6x9) to send it back. DO NOT BUY!!!
I appreciate honest reviews, so thats what I like to leave as well. This carpet is super thin, which for the price of such a small carpet size I would have expected much better quality or a thicker rug material itself, or even at the very least a non-skid backing on this rub. Unfortunately, this rug comes with none of the above. It is super thin, without a non-skid back and would definitely require a rug pad in order to keep from moving all over the floor.Additionally if you were purchasing this item because you liked the “metallic” look, I wouldn’t purchase for that reason. You wouldn’t even be able to tell it was supposed to be “metallic” unless you read the online description because it certainly does not come off as metallic at all in person (see photos).Overall I would probably not recommend to a friend as you could easily find a better & larger rug for cheaper elsewhere.
I was in need of a rug that had some character and color. I found this rug and got it for a bedroom. The pictures online don’t do it justice, it is beautiful rug! It is very durable, soft and easy to clean if need be.
