I’m so happy with this rug—it’s exactly what I was looking for. DO NOT BUY - SMELLY

First, it does not look like the photo, but that's okay because it is still pretty. The rug sheds but again, I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is the awful chemical / wet dog smell it had. I tried so hard to make this rug work. I opened all windows with an air purifier running for 2 weeks.,I put is out in the sun, I sprayed it with Hypochlorous Spray AND KOE. Finally, I got it professionally cleaned. Somehow it got even worse, and I had to throw it out.I tried contacting Loloi and apparently they are not the original seller for this listing. Very disappointed.

This rug never stops shedding

Purchased 3 of these rugs. Two runners and one for my bedroom. The colors were perfect. However, the large rug for my bedroom smelled musty for several weeks. The smell did finally go away. The problem now is they never stop shedding! Disappointed in the material.

Nice rug but sheds

I like the look of the rug and it seems like it's good quality but it sheds so much. My entire living room has rug fibers everywhere! It's so disappointing. I'm vacuuming everyday to clean up the mess the rug is making. I would not recommend

Great thick rug

I recognize the smell everyone is talking about, I wouldn’t call it barn animal but it definitely smells like natural fibers. High quality thick rug, haven’t had any issues with shedding out of the ordinary. Feels like and thick under your feet.Update a few weeks later- the smell is gone, but it does have some shedding, I can’t see it on our floors unless I’m using the vacuum with lights on it, however if I put our darker green pillows on the carpet they do pick up tiny white fibers. Doesn’t bug me too much, the rug still feels thick and great but if it’s something that will bother you then be aware.

Beautiful Rug but Smelly

After extensive searching and reading reviews, I decided on this rug. I loved the color and the pattern and the quality of the wool for the price. As other reviewers had mentioned, it had an extremely strong farm like manure smell when I opened the package. I let it air out for several weeks and the odor got fainter, but it still exists. I vacuum it frequently and my vacuum will fill up with the wool material each time. I used carpet fresh that had pet odor remover in it and that helped a slight amount, but it still smells. Evidently this odor is due to the lanolin in the sheep’s wool and is common for wool rugs. Aside from the odor, the rug is beautiful. It’s very durable and I hope it lasts for a long time.
