A simple remembrance with lovely roses

These cemetery flowers by Lodou are nicer than I expected. There’s a set of two bunches of artificial flowers that come with vases, foam, and detachable spikes to secure them in the ground. Somehow they have managed to stuff all of it into a box 8” by 9” by a mere 5 inches tall. There were no odors or fake fragrances coming from the product, which is always appreciated.The roses are wrinkled and squished at first but begin to expand on their own. With a bit of fluffing they spread into fulsome blossoms with ample greenery. The seller says they are hand made of silk that can withstand the weather. In my experience, exposure to the elements and humidity soften the creases over time.I didn’t like that the seller’s images are misleading composites showing the bouquets much larger than they actually are. Nevertheless, they are nice flowers in person. Check out my photos of them.When you get to be my age you tend to have more use for cemetery flowers than you would like - family and friends lost over our decades on this earth. The recent pandemic took its toll as well, and not only on us old folk. The ritual of remembrance to honor those we have lost with flowers at their gravesite is a simple gesture that means so much.

The assembly is straightforward, but I did find that the flowers are much too long for the vases. You can choose to cut them to fit or use the flowers separately from the vases. I place flowers on my grandparents shared grave marker. I started with a florist… paying $50-60 every 3 months. Last year, I started making them from Hobby Lobby and would pay around $30-$35 each. Nice Colors and Good Value but Some Quality Issues

I have ordered enough memorial flowers online to know that fluffing is always involved when they arrive stuffed into a box, and these were no exception. The flowers straightened up fairly quickly, but there were numerous thin strands running through the bouquets that appear to be glue or plastic. Shaking them did not remove the strands, so I am hoping that a good rain will eventually wash them away.The vases themselves are not heavy duty, and I do not expect them to hold up for a long time in Midwest weather. That said, the colors are very nice. The red and yellow combination is vibrant and worked perfectly for my uncle’s grave, especially since he was a big Chiefs fan.The value really comes from receiving two bouquets in the set. While there are some quality concerns, the appearance and color make them a decent option for cemetery decorations if you are not expecting long term durability.

Bright colors and 18 roses on each bouquet!

These artificial flowers for a cemetery look much better than I had expected. The shape of the roses are very nicely done and I did not notice the touch of orange on the yellow ones until I unpackaged them. There are 2 bouquets in the box. The box is small so the stems are curved around it for shipment so you will have to do some straigtening and fluffing but that is easily done with the plastic over wire stems.Each bouquet is about 18" long and if I counted correctly a dozen red roses and 6 yellow roses along with some greenery and small white plastic flowers in each bouquet. These come with 2 holders that have a foam insert and also a ground spike. The holders are white which looks okay but I will spray paint these a bronzy color before putting them out this spring.These seem like a good quality. I did not have any loose petals or leafs in my package. The colors in the flowers are bright and vibrant which is nice. I would recommend these especially if you have a dual vase and need 2 bouquets that match.

Maybe I had higher expectations…

I suppose for a set of 2, this is a pretty good value. To me they lack fullness but maybe I can add some of my own faux flowers to give it a bit of personality touch and flair for my late mother and father in law.The stakes are moderate quality, and I feel like these might not withstand the elements (wind, rain, sleet, snow) especially the wind we get up here by the lake. I cannot speak to longevity, but I do feel a tad underwhelmed on the fullness of the flowers. By the way, I am squeezing them together in the photo… perhaps they need to settle a bit?
