Best fit for a cabin or country house.

I usually avoid commenting on prices, but I feel this is an exemption, because I am comparing other brand products to this one and I can not justify the 5 times higher price for this particular rug. The quality doesn't justify the value. Especially the edges. The corners roll up as well. This rug really does look like a rough natural country cabin type of rug where imperfections are part of the decor. Its a bit too shabby for traditional home decor. I like the white tone- it is more like cream off white and the natural jute brown is mixed with darker strands. Overall it is a decent rug, but as I mentioned before, unfortunately some other brand rugs are more competitive and are a better value for my liking.It was delivered in the roll and did not have any creases or any other damages, I could set it out immediately, it is pretty soft and lays down nicely. Both sides are not the same, the back side white is a darker, cream-like ivory. It does look different in real life than in description photos.

Can't recommend because of the price

This is a great quality rug, it's very well made and covers most of my living room. The mute earth tones make it great for a variety of color schmes, and for me, given the tan wall color of my house, it was perfect.It really ties the room together and is a big improvement over our flat carpet. There were some small flaws in the rug, especially in the stitching where it looks like a machine got jammed and had to reset. It is not perfect, but not rustic or enhanced by the flaws, either. Easy to unroll, and I just put some weights down on one end to get the last of the kinks out.My sticking point is the price. Comparables to this rug are 1/5th of the price, including on the designer's own website, so there is no value here. I would really like to recommend this rug, but for the amount of money being charged, you can get a much, much better product.

Handmade, Natural Fiber, but why?

I don't understand the point of this rug, or why it's considered high end or worth so much. I understand it's handmade in India out of 100% natural fiber call jute. But it's super rough and uncomfortable, it doesn't look all that great with the lumpiness and inconsistencies in the weave, it's thin and creates no cushion, it sheds these little fibers on the floor and sticks to you clothes. This natrual fiber can fade in the sun, can't handle high traffic, can get moldy if it gets wet, stains easily, and breaks down quicker than man made materials. Maybe it looks cool for rustic applications or a wall hanging.

Beautiful and big jute rug. I love the checkered design. This is a great rug if you’re going for a farmhouse or even a farmhouse chic design. I have owned several jute rugs in the past and was always somewhat disappointed that they almost immediately started unraveling in areas. This rug however has stayed intact and kept its form right out the packaging and with consistent use. The quality is top notch. The weaving is tight. I feel worth mentioning is that this rug is very thin and almost see through. It does tend to slide around. I recommend a rug pad underneath for stability and added cushioning. Quite easy to clean as well. It’s lightweight enough to pickup and shake loose dirt out. Easy to vacuum as well. Overall quite a splurge, but worth it.
