SHRUNK a lot: Before Washing = 83" .... After Washing = 77" (shrunk 6" and now are too short)

The good is that the material is thick and heavy.The BAD news is how much they shrunk, which I don't think was "normal". I was expecting (and actually wanted some) as I bought the 83" when I needed 81" but after washing and drying they were down to 77". Now they are too short for their purpose which is an *inside* mount for a closet (instead of doors). If you don't mind hemming curtains buy longer than you need, wash/dry, and then hem.
